I am a size 16. I did get into a sample size 14 Jenna and I thought it looked pretty good. Nothing some cruches couldn’t fix (i DO have a year before the wedding) but every real bride I see wearing it is all skinny and fabulous in it. Should I not wear this dress? Or should I just embrace my hips and rock the dress like nobody’s business?
I just don’t want people to be like “why did she choose THAT dress??”

@misskarianne: Girl! I would still rock that dress, just because you’re not a size 2, DOES not mean you can’t wear the dress of your dreams! Go out there and rock it!

The pictures we see of the models wearing the dresses have been extremely photoshopped and most people stand no chance to look like advertisements (of any kind) Don’t base what dress you love on the dress model making you feel bad!

If you feel happy with the way the dress looks on you then buy it!

It doesn’t matter if only “skinny” girls wear it… If you feel beautiful in it then get it! It’s all about how you feel in it! Rock it girl!! 🙂

I have seen the dress on brides that aren’t model size, and I think the dress looks beautiful on girls of all sizes. If you like it and feel confident in it then rock it!

I think its an awesome dress for a curvy girl! But if you don’t feel comfortable in it would you really be feeling the rocking vibe?
W/out a pic of you in the dress its kinda hard to say whether or not it works for you (we all have our own individual curves right). I just hate the idea of someone trying to change themselves to look good in a dress.
There was another bee around here somewhere who was wearing a similar dress -I think she said she was a 16. I wish I could find it for you!

I felt awesome there in the bridal salon. I think I am just not really use to something being that fitted that far down? (if that makes sense)
They wouldn’t let me take pictures unless I was buying it right then, but I just recently called to put my deposit on it. So I think in the next week or so I am going back so I can get pictures and I will post them then.

Looks like you’re not alone in worrying about pulling this dress off. It looks seriously stunning on both these ladies!

@kermie: you’re awesome! Thanks for finding those. I guess I really don’t have anything to be worried about. I’ve always been told I “carry my weight” well. LOL (um.. thanks? haha) so… hopefully I will look as good as them!

The Jenna is my dress and I have it in a size 14. I didn’t think I wanted anything that fitted either but I loved the way it looked on me! I didn’t even want to take it off; it did wonders for my curves! I’d also like to think the dress makes a great illusion of making me thinner than I really am. =)
If you felt amazing then go for it! I can’t wait to see pictures of you in it!

i think Jenna is MADE for women with curves! In fact, I was almost put off in the bridal salon when i tried it on, loved it, and the dress consultant said to me “ya that dress looks good on everyone”. I was thinking gee thanks for making me feel special! But in reality, she was right! I have seen this dress on girls of all sizes and it just does something makes them look fantastic! I think maybe because it is so stiff, that it just shapes you into it no matter what!
And actually, there have been a few times i have seen the dress on a real skinny minny girl with NO hips and those are the ones i like it the least on.

I was going to suggest looking at IcedChaiTea’s pics!!! =)
She rocks it and I think is about the same size!
We plus size brides can still rock it!!! Do you have pics of you in the dress? (sorry if thats been answered!)

@CupCakeMeg: I will have pictures in about a week. They originally wouldnt let me take pictures because I wasn’t making my decision right then and there.
