I don’t think it’s a plain dress, but whether it’s too plain for you is hard to tell. It’s difficult to form an opinion without a picture of you in it.

If you want to look a certain way in the dress, you’ll most likely have to get some shapewear. I suggest shapewear from Rago, or a product that has the kind of support and structure that Rago does; you’ll probably be more comfortable and get a better shape in that than in spanx. If you can’t commit to the dress even with some good shapewear, then it simply might not be the one for you.

Trying on dresses similar to Melanie could help you make a decision. You may find something you like more or you may find a way to make Melanie look the way you want it to.

You know, I see what you mean.

Honestly, the dress doesn’t fit you well and it does look rather plain. It doesn’t flatter you the way it should.

I think you can find a better dress than that; a dress that you don’t have to convince yourself to like.

I felt the exact same way about the galia lahav dress. I fell in love with the back but the front just looks like lingerie :(. Remember that most people will be looking at your front so dont settle for one you’re not absolutely thrilled with!

DizzyBee86:  that is a gorgeous dress but I see what you mean about the lingere feel. It seems like it would be good for like an editoral in a magazine, not practical.

Thislittlepiggy:  I don’t think that flatters your shape at all to be honest. Its a beautiful dress though, but as a PP said, when its the dress you will have NO doubt in your mind about it.

DizzyBee86:  The back of your dress is simply stunning. I actually don’t think the front is too plain, however, I agree that it looks like lingerie.

Thislittlepiggy:  I think this dress is beautiful. The slip comes in a version that is not as low cut in the back. That would allow coverage for better shape wear. I would suggest wear a sash or belt with a little sparkle if you are looking for just a bit more style.

The dress is stunning, I tried it on today and purchased it! I agree the front is plain but I am getting a few embeselment detail added to the front. I have accessoried it with a vintage hair comb and it looks stunning. The lady in the dress shop added a sparky belt but I did not choose this.
