I’m 5’4″ and really liked the dress when i tried it on.  Sadly I don’t have much else to offer though… Hopefully you’ll get some advice.  One bee just purchased Mia as her gown though, hopefully she’ll see this!

@Search4PerfectDress:  I haven’t purchased yet but I think I’m going with Divina.  I loved the shape but thought the lace top might’ve been too risque for me.  I did toy with the idea of putting pink behind the sheer part but it didn’t feel like my dress when I was wearing it.

@Search4PerfectDress:  I have this dress! I am around 5’1″, and my first dress appt is this friday. I have been told that they will beed to lift the skirt part up from the waist so it will fit properly… It could be a lot of work! But, since I am so short I figured any type of mermaid style dress would be work. I don’t know if I will need a petticoat.. it comes with a crinoline that works pretty good at fluffing it out. I ditched that bow sash completely and bought a sash. Good luck! It really is a gorgeous dress!

@Search4PerfectDress:  I tried this one and it was a close contender for me but in the end I went with another dress

I didn’t like it with the bow either so I tried it on with a different sash……there is another thread on here with girls who have tried on the mia. I will search for it for you!

@Search4PerfectDress:  YAY thank you!!! I will absolutely let you know how my first fitting goes tomorrow. 🙂 It really needs to be lifted up, so the flare starts mid thigh. The jeweled thingy on the side of the dress needs to be up higher. I hope it all works out!!

I almost bought Maggie Sottero Mia, it’s gorgeous dress, and figure flattering, my friends and my collegues love it.

The bottom was heavy and hard to move, I have to agree, but the dress that I tried on was way too long (i’m 5’3). The sale assistant showed me that the train can be brought to the front and wrap around the foot at the reception and attach to where the side brooch is (instead of normal bustle at the back).

I still haven’t decided yet, but the dress is very high on my list.

Note: the train wasn’t layed probably in the pictures because the shop doesn’t allow to take pictures and my friend just had to take a quick snap.
