I am curious to see if there are any brides that have tried on Maggie Sottero's Natasha? This is my dream dress but it seems like I might be the only one in love with her.

I have seen so many 2011 dresses from he Maggie collection on different brides but not this one.
That is a beautiful dress! Unfortunately not every bridal store carries every style. The shop in NYC that I bought my Adorae only had the most popular and current dresses. I was so overwhelmed with the dresses that I tried on, that when I tried on Adorae, I fell in love! I had not even considered or looked at the dress. My dream dress was by impressions: Amber. Anyway, I have no remorse! I love my dress!
Very true. So many stores carry different styles. I agree. I have been wondering if anyone has tried this one on. I am curious to see how it looks in real life.
Bump~ I see so many Maggie Brides. The dress I love isn't in the loop. Do I have a dress LOVE TWIN?
i love it too, saw it at a bridal show and fell in love with it, i have yet to try it on though, but it is deffinately the one im hoping to get
I remember you loving it too!!! ^_^ Yay!!!! I am so happy to have a dress twin. I am curious to see how the original looks on because I never got to see or touch it. Out here in Japan they don't really do weddings the same and so my selection has been limited.
If I were in America I would have hunted down any store to try this dress on. I realize you usually don't like the dress you think you'd like but this one screamed my name. I am so curious to see how other girls look in it.
I haven't seen this on anyone but I think it looks absolutely stunning in the picture! :)
Me too!!! I am so anxious to see a real life image but it looks like my girl isn't the popular one in class. But I love her to death!!!!! So classy and soft.
i think its a beautiful dress, but as i am a 2nd time around bride, and my first dress was all over lace, i purposely steered clear of anything remotely similar to my first wedding, but it is gorgeous.....
I tried it on. I liked it but it wasn't really what I was looking for even though I thought it was beautiful. I ended up getting Phillipa.
Ahhh I see ^_^ I agree its a pretty dress. Thats why I can't stop stairing at her. Hope to see a girl wearing it someday.
Yay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So glad you loved it. Did you happen to get a picture of you in the dress? I am so curious.
@adw2c: I just tried this dress on an hour ago and I am in love with it!! And it is better in person than the picture! I tried on a 6 and I have a jlo booty and it minimized in the right places and it is just flattering and it had plenty of bling for me. And it has an inside corset that I love so I wont be pulling it up all night. It is a great dress find it and go try it on!
Hey!!!! I can't try it on because they don't have it in Japan :(
Do you have pics of you trying it on? You will be the 1st bride I know to try on Natasha. I just love her from the pics but thre aren't any real brides.
Or do you have pics that you took of the dress in person on the rack? Yay!! I am so excited ^_^
I love the Natasha dress!!! It's the one
Omg that would be wonderful! I am in love with this dress but I have never seen another bride in her.
It seems that all the other styles are popular at the moment.
I have been searching everywhere for real brides!
Congrats on a phenominal gown!!!
I'm going to try this on tonight after work...because it was over my budget I held off on trying it but nothing seems to be calling my name yet and I'm at least 20 dresses in.
The boutqiue I'm going to today is the only shop in my whole state that carries it, I had such a hard time finding it I contacted the designer directly to tell me who had it after I called about a million places.
I'll report back on it and if they let me take a picture I will!
Natasha is absolutely amazing! I love it, too! I'm a little too short to pull it off just right (mermaid styles are always cut so low at my thigh), but it looks great on anyone taller than me! :D The fabric and lace are wonderful.
I''m short too. Its truly an Aline but a little ftited so I am sure it resembles a mermaid. I love the look of this dress though. I think the lace is gorgeous and the beading is wonderful. I wish I could have seen her in stores.
Hey! I know this is a little late but I just joined and saw this post. I just ordered the Natasha a couple weeks ago!! I LOVE this dress and like others have said, it's so much better in person. It has tiny little polka dots in the mesh/tulle underlay that make this dress elegant but still fun. The polka dots aren't super noticeable but you can easily see them when you're close to the dress. Also, I'm very short (5'1") and I think the dress looks great on me. It is fitted to the top of my thighs and then goes out so it doesn't make me look shorter like some other dresses in a similar style.
If you ever get the opportunity to post the pic of the dress please do! I am so in love with this style ^_^ I just have never seen it on a real bride. The look of the polka dots sound gorgeous! Absolutely what I invisioned it to be.
At the end of the day I never got to have Miss Natasha but I am happy with my second choice.
Hi everyone! I just joined this site and bumped into the post. When I saw the natasha dress...I just fell in love with it! I loved the detail, the lace, and the cut of the dress. I was lucky to find a store which had the dress and went in to try it on. I was so excited when I tried it and when I saw myself in the mirror...I burst into tears! My consultant put a veil on me and I thought it was perfect. However, I had one major issue with the dress: I couldn't walk in it at all! I'm 5'3 and I felt the dress was just too much for me. Regardless of my experience, it is an absolutely elegant and gorgeous dress!
Thanks for sharing and welcome to the site. I wish I could have actually tried it on. It sounds amazing! Its a shame you wouldn't walk in it though! What dress did you decide to go with?
@adw2c: Thank you! Trying on the Natasha dress was an amazing feeling and it's a show stopper because when I walked out of the fitting room...everyone just stopped and looked at me with the dress. It is truly a wow-factor dress. I tried on a 12 and it was way too big (I'm an 8). I was told that if the dress was in my size then I would be able to walk in it but I don't know, the dress was pretty heavy for me to carry around. Plus, I would like to dance n my wedding day and I'm not sure if I would be able to. I am currently looking for the dress in my size in other stores just to make sure that I don't have any regrets later. However, I tried on the Adorae (Maggie Sottero) and I also loved it. I loved ow my body looked it in, I felt elegant, and it seemed more age appropriate for me (according to the consultants and my mom). I'm going to look at more dresses since I still have a little more than a year til the wedding :)
@grlsbestfrnd: that is awesome to hear, i absolutely love the dress, saw it at a bridal show, have yet to try it on. But im 5'0" so i was worried it would look odd, soo happy to hear it looks good on us short ones too!
this might be an odd question, but how does an internal corset work? is it two seperate pieces, do you put the corset on then the dress? if not, how do you do the corset part up?
I've tried with absolutely NO results, to find this dress on a 'real' bride- hopefully this thread will eventually land a photo. It's freakin gorgeous :)
@mrschristmas:The internal corset is attached inside the dress so it's not separate pieces. The corset is laced up and tied and it won't show since there is a zipper which conceals it.
That was the coolest feature to me. I originally wanted the zipper look but the look of a corset. Ahh I am still deaming ^_^
Does anybody have a picture on a "real" bride wearing this dress?? I have been keeping a look out, but for now no success. If there are any Natasha brides out there, please share pics for the bees!! :D
No success so far!!!!!! Its driving me crazy. I never saw a woman wearing this gorgeous dress. Its still in my fantasy. Sigh..
@MrsSundet: I actually have a picture of two trying on the dress. However, the dress was 2 sizes way too big and the clips were falling off. I really couldn't get a true image as to how I would look in the dress because it was way too big. However, I could send you the pictures if you like.
@grlsbestfrnd: I'm also really short (only about 5 feet tall) and I really want to see the Natasha dress on a bride who's close to my height. Is there any way you could post pictures of you in the dress? Thanks!
Yes please post pics. I am 5'1. You can always cut it off at the shoulders for privacy.
Like I've mentioned before, I LOVE this dress until I tried it on (way too heavy)! Although this is not my dress, here are some pictures of it on a real person (mind you this dress was 2 sizes too big). Even the clips couldn't grasp the dress to give me somewhat of an idea of how it would look on me. In this pic I'm wearing small heels..maybe 2.5 inches and I'm 5'3.
Thank you so much for showing us this!!! You are the answer to our prayers!! It looks great even though its too big. You have a gorgeous figure.
Thanks again for sharing.
