hope this helps, this is my dress bought it 5 months ago and at that time could not find a picture in diamond white anywhere!!!! It is absolutely beautiful.. I did not regret ordering the diamond white,,, it is white,, it just looks good on people with lighter skin,, just not a bright brilliant white, it is very soft.
Hope it helps,,, Leesha
Leesha,
Thanks for posting your pictures! I ordered my Reema in JULY and I'm waiting for it to come in this month for my first fitting! I ordered it in Diamond White too and I have been crossing my fingers that I made the right choice!! It's so nice to see it in that color! Thank you!
I got the call!!! My dress is in!! I go for my first fitting next week!!! So excited!
IT'S SO EXCITING FOR YOU!!!!!!!!!!! I'M SURE YOU WILL BE SO IMPRESSED AND ABSOLUTELY SURE THAT YOU PICKED THE RIGHT DRESS,,,, IT IS SO BEAUTIFUL WHEN IT IS THE PROPER FIT!!!! DID YOU GET THE VEIL ALSO?
SEND PICTURES,, I CAN'T WAIT TO WEAR MINE,,, 2 MORE MONTHS FOR ME!
I did order the matching veil as well. I thought it was so beautiful! How are you going to bustle the train? I've heard tulle is very difficult to bustle, but I don't want to be stepped on at the reception! Has your seamstress recommeded anything?
I'm going to do a traditional bustle, my seamstress showed me a traditional and then a over bustle, with the tulle I liked the traditional.
What are you wearing in your hair and jewelry and stuff,,,,,, I'm using pearl pins in a curled up do and my veil down low on the back of my head,, I'm wearing a single pearl pendant and pearl and diamond drop earrings.
I hope you feel just as much as a princess as I do in mine!! Are you wearing your cap sleeves> I'm wearing mine,, I love them.
The traditional is the under bustle? Oh ok that sounds good. I'm so glad I have you to ask questions!!!
Not sure about my hair yet...I can't decide if I want to wear it half up or all up...we'll see. I'm wearing pearl drop earrings too that were a gift from my mother.
Of course I'm keeping the sleeves! That was my favorite part of the dress!
That was my favorite part of the dress too!,, The traditional bustle is an over bustle,, I tried the under bustle, but with the side profile I didn't care for it with my butt,,, sounds silly I know. I was thinking about taking the caps off for the reception and then decided against it, because it was the part of the dress that made it seem like a fairy,,, i'm into fairies,,,,,, It is nice to talk to someone with the same dress, not many of us out there, which is good, I go for my final fitting soon,,,,whats the rest of your wedding like? Mine is the colors, cream, celery green and pink,,,,, my flowers are all esperance roses (bicolar, pink and cream) with some filler of greens and white,,,,,pops of silver and white
Sorry, it's just so close now,,, I can't wait anymore,,, toooo excited!
Ooooh sounds pretty! I love pink! It's my favorite color. We're doing gold and ivory. With just white flowers and candles at the reception. We're having an evening wedding (8 pm) so there will be lots of candles everywhere.
When and if you have time, could you post a picture with the bustle. I'm curious as to what it looks like!
Thanks again!
My wedding is at 8pm also,,in Las Vegas,, thats were I live, I'm having tons candles too,,,, I will send a picture of the bussle as soon as I go to the final fitting........should be less then two weeks......
Leesha! Did you know that Reema was in the DEC/JAN issue of Modern Bride? I nearly fell off my chair when I noticed it last night! So exciting!
Hi - this is my gown also! I just got my first fitting a month ago and I'm going for my next fitting (hopefully my last) next weekend. Mine is the Light Gold color and I decided to cut off the train! I was not intending to do that at all...but when I went in for alterations I realized what the bustle would look like and I just didn't want to walk around all night with a bustle. I'm so curious what your dress looks like with the bustle. Can you post a picture of it if you have it? I'm hoping I didn't make a mistake by chopping it off!
It sounds like we're all on the same page. I'm into fairies too!! As sad as that sounds coming from a 30 yr old! :) But I wanted a very ethereal look and I found it with this gown. My colors are green and ivory and a bit of gold thrown in there. Please, please post pics when you have them and I'll do the same. Thanks!
wow!! the diamond white looks stunning. i ended up ordering the light gold version with veil too.. i'm so surprised that everyone got their dresses so soon. I ordered mine in December 2009 and the ladies at the store have told me it wont come till July! my wedding is not till November this year but still, i want to see it way before then! I'mf rom Austrlia though, would that make a difference?
my bridesmaids told me to take the sleeves off but i looove them. they said its too busy on me and i partically agreed with them.. i am a very short girl so not sure. i hope i dont regret getting them taken off. not sure if the dress will come to me with the straps and then i have to get it altered to get them off or whether it will come to me without the straps.. ugh.. worrried i have made the wrong decision now to have no straps!!!
@ Karam: Personally I think the straps are what make the dress so beautiful and unique! Without them, it's just another strapless wedding gown...(boring) I am petite also and I don't think that the dress is busy on me. Don't let your bridesmaids (or anyone else) pressure you into doing something that you don't want. It's your day!
When I ordered my dress, I was told it took seven months to come in from when I ordered it. I ordered it in July 09 and it came in in Feb. of this year. It's currently being altered because it was too big...so I'm waiting some more! Good luck! It's a beautiful, beautiful dress!
@ Ranaki13: Do you knwo what? i absolutely agree with you on the straps but for some reasno when i tried on the dress (light gold) it didnt look good on me. My friends said it looked too busy on me and that i should tuck the straps in, once i did that it just looked a whole lot better so i decided not to have the straps..
do you think it will still come with the straps even though i asked to not have them? i wish i had kept it as it is and then just got them cut off if i didnt like them on me...my bridesmaids are very honest with me so i do trust in their opinion, they werent pressuring me and i want to make sure i look good! i wanted the straps too because everyone seems to be wearing strapless these days.
oh now i cant wait to get it and try it on again! thanks for your advice though!
hmmm...not sure. I was told that Maggie Sottero does not change the gown in any way-that a seamstress would have to make any changes when the dress came in.
hmm well hopefully then, it comes back to me with the straps so i can decide..how has your fitting gone Ranaki13?? any pics yet? i'm really looking forward to getting my dress and really want to put it on again and see what i look like!
anyone have ideas for hair and how the veil would sit.. i was thinkin gof having a loose chignon updo with tendrils but not sure if it will suit my face shape. and so many peope have done that recently!
my bridesmaids are wearing blush pink floor lenght gowns.. it looks a bit grecian as the bodice has this sort of knott through it...not sure how they will have their hair either...sigh decisions decisions decisions!
I already had my first fitting and waiting for alterations to be done probably in a week or two...I'm in LOVE with the veil though!
Not sure about hair/makeup/jewelry. I'm not sure how I'll wear the veil either. My mom and my uncle both think I should wear it like a mantilla veil and my aunt (my uncle's wife) and my grandmother think I should wear it low (like the model on the website).
I had my heart set on wearing pearl jewelry but I'm finding that my dress is whiter than any of the pearls I've found. I'm thinking I'll wear diamonds or maybe Swarovski jewelry instead. Not sure if I should wear drop earrings or something simpler.
We aren't having bridesmaids or groomsmen, so that's one less thing I have to worry about!!!
Hi there,
oh wow you must post some pics up for me to see!! i cant decide either but i still have time. i initially wanted to wear it like a mantilla as it shows ff the scalloped lace edging better but then i dont know how i feel abot werin my hair down as i would like a glamourus updo or loq chignon for a romantic look which means i wuld wear it underneath the hair lie the model.. sigh...
swarovsk jewellry will e good as it will give off a glam look. the diamond white dress looks like it sprkles more for some reason. i got the light gold so i will be looking for pearls to give off that vintage look though i would like some crystals mixed in...
i think that drop earrngs would look awesme with the dress but then the way you wear yur veil and hair would need to show off the earrngs and your dress. good luck!
Hi! Im thinking of ordering the light gold Reema gown online because i live in Tasmania and there are no stores here which stock the Reema gown. Does anyone have anymore pics to help me decide!! i absolutely love the dress on the model but need more of an idea :) Thanks
I have a fitting this upcoming week and I'll post photos soon.
