Hi Everyone 🙂
I am newly engaged and planning our wedding for April next year.
I originally was not going to wear a wedding dress (as my second marriage) instead was going to do the plain (but beautiful) dress for ceremony and then dress change to a fabulous Faviana gown for reception/party.
However one nightmare and 24 hours later I am heading down to the mall to try and find/order a dress in time for my wedding next year. And yes I found one YAY!. Now I am faced with two challenges, no one in Australia has a sample gown for me to try on (and nothing out of the 28 I tried compare) and being only 4.5 months out they might not be able to get the gown in time. But I ordered it anyway (fingers crossed, I find out Monday if I can get in time). Now I can’t sleep. I can’t find any posts, pictures (real brides/brides to be) or videos of the dress I have ordered …you can see the dress at http://www.maggiesottero.com/dress.aspx?style=A3660 it is very red carpet but still in the wedding dress category.
I am now excited, axious and starting to a feel like “what was i thinking” and would love if anyone has or knows anyone who has purchased this gown and has pics, comments, videos etc..I would love to hear from you …at least I might be able to sleep a little easier between now and when my mystery dress arrives in 4 months 🙂
Thanks and look forward to hearing from you.
Ps. One bridal store manager said “we didn’t order in this dress because it would only appeal to a certain clientele” Huh?

I was expecting something way “out there.” This is a really pretty dress, and it looks like a wedding dress. It’s not super extreme or weird. It’s really pretty, and though I’ve never seen it on a bride, Maggie Sottero is super popular here on the Bee, and I’m sure you’ll find some dress twins sooner or later!

It’s very pretty! A quick search turned up nothing but this other model wearing it though.

Ps I am thinking of putting in a hidden split so when i walk you can see my sparkly mimco heels (like in this dress http://www.maggiesottero.com/dress.aspx?style=A3578). JB

@Redgirljx76: I agree, that model is too boney! I think it will look better on a real person.

@mckeestephanie: Does anyone know how a bra would be worn with this dress? or is it cleavage-less?

@MrsBtoBe14: There wasn’t a ton of cleavage on this one. You would have to wear one of those “sticky” bras that don’t have a back on them though. Or you could get a seamstress to put in bra cups and I am sure it would work fine.

That dress is amazing! And I think it’d particularly great for a 2nd wedding. A little less traidtional and more fun. Good for you!

I actually saved that dress to my favorites before I bought mine. Never tried it on, but I think it’s beautiful!

Now we’re not the only ones. I’m also so much in love with this dress. Let me know if you find any pics of how it looks like. What I actually liked was the detail on the back, but I’m not sure if the dress will fit my body style (like, curvy but not plus size).
I just found a dress with a similar detail if you want to consider it: http://www.demetriosbride.com/gowns/destination-romance/dr182
