I fell in love with the Maggie Sottero Boston after trying on over 60 dresses. Here is a pictiure of me with it on at my first appointment. I am 5′ 1″, large chest, normal dress size 6.

I just bought the Boston yesterday!!! It is a beautiful dress!  I am in love with another dress, but sadly that dress, will not work with my wedding setting. I will upload a pic as soon as my friend sends it to me.

Did you have a chance to try it?

I have been looking for this dress everywhere, but no one carries it. What store did you find it in? I live near Philly. Thanks!

@newmangrl:  Did you ever find this dress in the Philly area? I have also been trying to find it and live in the Philly suburbs.

I just bought the Boston for my May 2014 wedding!!!! I live in Winston-Salem, NC and purchased it here. I may or may not wear a sash. I am 5’3, 145 lbs. I am wearing a size 12 in this picture. I have thick muscular legs and a booty and the dress fit perfectly. I LOVE IT

I am really close to pulling the trigger on the Ashleigh dress by Sottero and Midgley! I am just trying to decide what size to order. The dress is a bit tight on my thighs, so I may go up a size to give my legs more room. I’d love to see pics of others who have tried on the Ashleigh to see what the fit looks like! Here is the dress on me:

I bought the Ashleigh earlier this year and am currently waiting for it to come in.  Never ever thought I would ever wear a lace dress, but it looks elegant and classic on. Although have admittingly had worries waiting for it. I’m thinking of making some changes to the bottom of the dress to take out some of the fabric…but will wait and see.  I ordered the size up from the sample as it was tight around my thighs as well.  Ignore the gloves – the stores makes you wear them!

@Summer13:  It looks beautiful on you! The dress is so figure flattering with the way the lace makes the V shapes. How long have you been waiting for your dress? I’ve heard it can take up to 8 months to get Maggie Sottero/Sottero & Midgley dresses in…I really hope it won’t take that long! I would love to hear about your alterations ideas once your dress arrives!

I ordered it in April and was told would be here probably by October. However I’m in Australia so not sure if same time frame for the USA.

im thinking of making it more fitted so not so a-line.  But really just not sure! Have had second thoughts since I bought it! So I’m really excited to finally see another bride choose the same one!

have you thought about veil and bustle at all?

@Summer13:  hope your dress gets to you soon! I actually had dress regrets too, and if I order this dress then it will be my 2nd one! I’m trying to take my time to really be sure this time. I bet that when your dress comes in you will love it just as much! It’s just so gorgeous in person. I don’t think pictures do it justice! I will probably do a pretty simple elbow length veil, maybe with lace edging. What are you thinking? The bustle is actually something I’m not sure about. I have no idea how this dress would be bustled, since the lace layers transition into the lines on the train. Hopefully a seamstress will have a creative solution for it!

@Summer13:  did you end up getting your dress hemmed? Mine just came in yesterday (yay!) but it’s way too long. I’m worried about hemming it because of all the layers of lace. I’m concerned it’ll mess up the look of the dress. If you had it hemmed, I’d love to hear how it turned out!

I am dying to get the Ashleigh but the model dress is too small and I can’t get a good sense of the fit. Fit and flares have not been treating me well due to my “athletic” thights, my hips and bum. I have a small waist, though. A-lines have been my target, Is the Ashleigh more of a fit and flare or a-line? Will I be “strapped in” around the thighs? (aka can I dance comfortably?). Thanks 🙂

@cestvrai:  Hi! Our wedding was last month and it was amazing!  Seriously the best day of your life!  Everything was perfect.  Dress looked great, even after a year of stressing about it.  I ended up doing two looks – one for the church with a veil, and the one for a reception where I added a belt and took the veil off.  Had to be convinced to wear a vei – I still wasn’t convinced 30 mins before leaving the house! My seamstress added a bustle which made it a lot easier at the recepton – was really easy to dance in.  Two photos below. I hope your wedding planning is going well!
