I was originally told my dress would come in March, putting it at 6 months, but now the salon is saying not until May. It's frustrating.
I got a Sottero/Midgley dress and it took 6 months. When my order went in Sottero returned my estimate ship date back to the dress shop who gave it to me. All the orders have ship dates assigned to them. Can you ask the bridal shop to give you the estimated ship date?

Chinese New Year does cause some delays for dress orders, so that is probably what's holding yours up. They both shut down the factories for christmas and chinese new year so they get backed up this time of year. 8 months is crazy though, I ordered mine in august and got it in the first week of January, but mine was not a Sottero/Midgley, just MS?
They told me 6-8 months!
I ordered end of July, dress came in Feb. 2nd!
I'm nervous too! My wedding is in May and my dress isn't here yet.....they are saying it will be in next month! This is truly nerve wrecking!
Maggie Sottero
I ordered my Maggie dress in the middle of October 2010, the salon gave me a ship date of Feb. 14, 2011 saying that was the date it would ship from the factory but for them, it was usually the date it arrived.
My dress actually arrived in late January, 2 weeks before the ship date.
But I'm also on the west coast, closer to the china factory and didn't have to wait for the cross-US shipping as well.
FOREVER!!! Or at least it feels like it! I ordered my MS in mid November and it should be here at the end of April. I guess it's a limited edition, so maybe that's why they are torturing me.
I work in a bridal salon ship dates two weeks ago were the first week of JUNE!
Ordered mine in July! They said it won't come in until March!!! I am going crazy waiting!
Oh man that seems a little long! It took mine 6 months to get in.
I wonder if they ship the dress according to your wedding dates. If they know your wedding is far off, they may take longer. Just a guess looking at all the responses. I'm not wearing a Maggie dress though :)
Ordered early Oct 2009, got a call it was in in Feb 2010...so about 4 1/2 months...
I ordered my dress last May and got it in mid-January this year, so mine was about 7-8 month wait.
I orderd my dress in December and the ship date is May 9th, and I'm am flying to Texas to get it fitted on May 20th...I'm nervous now there there will be delays...I hope not!!
I got mine in right around the 6 month mark. I order mine in Jan and it came in June.
I finally got a phone call back and now they are saying it should ship next week. It will take about 5 days from the day the ship it for the shop to receive it. I am keeping my fingers crossed that it's here by March 1st!

Eeek. I ordered mine in April and it is expected to be in at the end of July/beginning of August. With our early Sept wedding date there isn't much wiggle room!
Yes it finally came in the second week of March. It was a VERY long wait! I went for my final fitting last week and I pick it up next Saturday!

Hey girls,
Has anyone else been waiting FOREVER fo their dress to come in? My bridal shop told me 4 - 6 months. It's now been 8 months since I ordered the dress. I called last month and they told me "a couple more weeks" and they are "backed up." Well, I called yesterday and I am waiting to hear back today for an answer. Anyone else having this issue? How long did it finally take to come in? I'm starting to go into panic mode!
