I haven't done this but I can only assume with the weight of the of the magnet it will cost more.
Depends on the size of the magnet! A small magnet that is business card size/shape and doesn't have a 3-dimensional aspect to it will probably be fine. Our save the date magnet was kind of big - nearly postcard size - and the magnet plus envelope was 0.9 ounces, so we just barely got away without adding extra postage. If I had cut the magnet in half and added an actual postcard, I bet it would have weighed about the same.
philabride2bee, that's really helpful! I'm glad to hear we may be able to get away without extra postage. I was thinking on the small side, something cute like a little Chicago magnet, maybe?

Hey bees,
I know save the date magnets are really popular right now, but I think we're going with old fashioned paper save the dates. I was thinking it might be cute to include a little magnet with them. Has anyone done this? How much would that effect postage? Any cute ones out there?
If you've done this, do you have pictures of it?
