Sometimes, the Boy drives me crazy.  One of his friend's daughters is 18 tomorrow, so being a bloke, he still has no idea what to get for  her.  'It's ok, sweetie,' I say 'We'll give date night a miss this week, and go shopping instead'

We ended up traipsing round every jewellers in the trafford centre looking for earrings for this chick.  Then he wanted to look at watches, then men's rings, and 'ohh, I might like an earring for christmas' and 'isn't that pretty' and all the general oohs and ahs. Not only that, but is seemed every shop had a couple shopping for e-rings.

I know we won't get rings from a high street jeweller - We've already discussed designing the rings together.  But still....dragging me round jewellery shops with no intention of even looking at rings is just. plain. mean!

Maybe I should design him a brushed stainless steel e-ring (since he likes gold and shiny).  That'd show him!

You are dealing with it SO much better than I would have! That was super mean! What did you end up getting her? I would have steered him (genrtly) towards the rings since you were out. Well, I say that, but I probably wouldn't.

@KMSull: He didn't actually manage to get anything.  I think he went back yesterday for some vouchers, and I'm going to grab a bottle of Berringer to add to it on my way home tonight.

Sometimes I think he's just enjoying winding me up!  (and it's going to get really, really old by the time he actually gets down on one knee!)
