My sister was my matron of honor and my best friend was my maid of honor Plus three additional bridesmaids. My sister stood next to me, so she came in right before me.

oilfieldhoney:  My sister is the Maid of Honor and my cousin is the Matron of Honor. Then 5 bride-peeps. I’ll probably have my sister stand next to me, my cousin next to her, and then my bride-peeps.

I had both – my 5 years older cousin was my Maid and a 15 years older cousin, who was always like a young aunt to me, was the Matron. The Maid stood next to me. I don’t think the Matron would have accepted the job as bridesmaid, as she would have stood-out a bit, with the other girls, who stood behind us. I know a gal who had her aunt as her Matron (they are extremely close) and best friend as Maid. Mine worked really well together, as far as the shower went – I didn’t have a bachelorette.

oilfieldhoney:  Why not just ask them? I had two MOHs and asked them to figure it out between the two of them since I didn’t want to be put in a position where I had to choose between them. One signed the license, the other stood next to me during the ceremony and held my bouquet, etc. The best was they gave a joint toast, it was hilarious! One started off that she knew right away DH was the one for me, he was so sweet and really liked me, sending me flowers after the 2nd date, going out to nice places…the other then gave her viewpoint…she was suspicious of DH, he was obviously up to something, sending me flowers after only 2 dates, taking me nice places….
