My colors are gray and yellow. My bridesmaids will be in gray dresses, with yellow bouquets. I want my Maid/Matron of Honor to be in the same dress but in black. I think it will make her stand out. However I’m now having trouble deciding if the best man should ALSO be in black (while the rest of the groomsmen will be in gray). Groom will also be in a black suit. Does anyone have a picture of a wedding party like this? Where the maid of honor and best man don’t match the rest of the party, but match each other?

I think the Best Man and groom shouldn’t both have black on if all the other men are wearing grey. Maybe Maid/Matron of Honor can wear black and the best man can wear the same suit as the other Groomsmen but wear something different in black (vest, cummerbund, tie). The groom should stand out.

Could you give her a sash or a different color bouquet to make her stand out?

I like it when the Maid/Matron of Honor dress is different somehow, but the Groomsmen should have the same suits. If anything, maybe a different boutineer, since the Maid/Matron of Honor usually have a different bouquets.

I think it’s fine to have the Maid/Matron of Honor in a different colour dress, the best man doesn’t necessarily have to match her. I will be having one Maid/Matron of Honor and one bridesmaid, my Fiance will be having two BMs, so we will probably have the two best men in the same suit, with a purple colour tie (my colours are blue and purple) and my Fiance in a slightly different suit with a blue tie. I want my Maid/Matron of Honor to be in a blue dress and a purple sash, and my bridesmaid in a purple dress with a blue sash.
