I am so confused with the whole wedding etiquette deal in so many things!
Right now is the invitations. First some lil’ details:
1. Wedding is on 8/14/10.
2. Wedding invitations haven’t been mailed out yet but most of our guests know our wedding date already, by word of mouth and stuff.
3. My bridal shower will be on June 19 and Maid/Matron of Honor finished giving out the invitations for it this past weekend.
The question is, Fiance and I have not mailed/given out wedding invites yet. Should I wait to give out invitations after the shower?maybe before the shower? or at the shower? Or at this point with bridal shower invitations given out already does it really matter when do I give out the wedding invites?
I know invitations are usually given around 2-3 prior which is fine but I just don’t know when I should do it in relation to the bridal shower date, before? after? doesn’t matter?

Well, you’re knocking on the two month mark – i’d just go ahead and send your wedding invites. The two aren’t really related – whichever one people get first, they’ll assume they are invited to the wedding.

Get the shower invitations out ASAP!! June 19th is around the corner and people may have already made plans. Send your wedding invitations out mid to late June. The rule is to send wedding invites 6-8 weeks before the wedding. My shower was May 22nd. Inviaitions were sent out late April. Wedding is in July. Invites were sent out early May.

If your wedding is August 18th and people know about it, Id send them about 5 weeks before the RSVP date, probably the last week in June or the first week in July.

Ok ty ladies…I think I will be sending them right after the wedding shower, on 6/21 and ask people to RSVP by 2nd week of July.
