I’m a new Bee and having serious anxiety about my dress choice. I went dress shopping 5 times. The 1st time I went with my Maid/Matron of Honor and thought I found the one but the more I looked at the pics of the dress, I didnt like that the beading looked like plastic. 2nd time I went to Alfred Angelo and had a horrible experience. 3rd time I went to Kliendfeld and had another terrible experience, it was chaos in that salon and nothing like TV. 4th time I went to a cute boutique and realized that I LOVE Priscilla of Boston dresses, but I was getting frustrated with the entire process. So the 5th time I went to Priscilla of Boston in NYC with my mom and sis and said yes to my dress.
When I set out to find my dress, I wanted something fitted that still had a full skirt, simple but with some sparkle, and something that made me feel elegant and classy. The problem is now I am FREAKING OUT, because I keep 2nd guessing my dress choice. I love my dress (can’t think of anything I dont like about it), but I keep thinking if there is a better dress out there for me. Should I have gone for something more fitted? more simple?
I’ve been cried about this, and about to start crying again : ( And to make matters worse Priscilla of Boston posted new dresses the day after I bought my dress! ughh! I know I should stop looking but I just happend upon them when I was looking at Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses. I even called the salon and asked if it was too late to cancel the order, and of course it is.
Has this happened to anyone else? I’ve posted pics of my dress… what do you think? I haven’t decided if I’m wearing the straps yet. Sorry the pics are so big.

OK, your dress is GORGEOUS! You look absolutely amazing in it! And can I get a “holla!” for Priscilla of Boston? I also bought my gown at their NYC salon, and I had an amazing experience there.
As to your worries, know that there will always be another dress out there that is potentially better than the one you chose. I mean, it’s not like we have tastes for just one thing–I like lots of wedding dresses! But the second you choose your dress, it’s becomes the best choice for you. Don’t worry about all the other ones out there that you could potentially like more. Focus on your dress and what you like about it. And know that you look stunning in it.
Oh, and don’t look at wedding dresses anymore! 🙂

As another Priscilla of Boston bride, I can tell you you made an excellent choice and the dress looks absolutely stunning on you.
I won’t lie though. At times, I have a wandering eye and wonder “what if” over other dresses. But once the down payment is in, or the dress is paid off, it’s time to stop actively looking. Of course you will run across dresses in bridal magazines and on the boards that you just gasp at. But like choosing your man, you know you love it for a reason, it’s perfect for you and you should not act on temptation!

I think the dress looks gorgeous on you, and it sounds like it’s exactly what you set out looking for. I think it’s easy to get caught up in the idea that there are so many other dresses out there you haven’t seen yet. There will always be new dress coming out and you can never expect to be able to see them all or try them all on.
I had anxiety after ordering my dress but I pushed through it, and when she arrived last week I realized why I had fallen in love in the first place!
What are your options if you can’t cancel the order? Would they let you substitute it for another dress from their store? Would you loose the money entirely? I think you need to keep that in mind. If they won’t refund your money or let you transfer it to another dress, do you have the funds to buy a completely different dress?
As I said, I honestly think it looks gorgeous on you. I’m normally not a fan of bling on dresses but I think the amount and placement on this dress is beautiful. I think you made a great choice, but in the end your the one that has to be happy! Good luck and keep us posted!

Your dress is stunning and you’ll be stunning in it. I wouldn’t wear the straps… It looks prettier without it, IMO. Don’t fret! There are millions of dresses out there. There will always be a dress that you may think is nicer on any given day. But you picked yours for a reason and you will be a star in it! Besides, could your figure look any more va va voom in this dress! Be confident and work it because you look great.

Priscilla of Boston is TIMELESS, girl! You cannot go wrong with her dresses. Yours is gorgeous. I love the fabrics of her dresses. Try and put everything on together (accessories, veil, shoes, ect.). The dress is beautiful on you.

If it makes you feel ANY better… picking a dress is a lot easier then having to cancel your wedding due to Hurricane Irene. Take a deep breath and remember, someone out there always has it worse! lol
PS – Your dress is beautiful 🙂

Your dress is gorgeous and I think it suits your body perfectly! I love it with or without the stress. I can definitely relate about the dress anxiety…I keep second guessing mine and looking at other dresses, but at the end of the day you have to remember what you loved about it in the first place. You will look gorgeous at your wedding no matter what! And for what it’s worth, I really think your dress is stunning. It definitely has that wow factor!

@Filly: I don’t really have any options. The salon will not let me swap out my dress for another, and I paid a bit more for the dress than I would have liked. I guess I just have to put my focus on something else and trust that when my dress comes in March, I will LOVE it.
Thank you ladies!!! I honestly feel better already. I usually get FI’s opinion on everything, so I think one of the reasons its so hard is that I can’t ask his opinion : (
I just need to get it together and refocus!

You look FANTASTIC. Seriously. There will always be other dresses you love, but this one will WOW people just as much if not more than those others, no doubt about it.
