@Grizz: I'm not familiar with that specific BC, but I can tell you that my moods and PMS symptoms did decrease while on birth control. It's possible that the type you're trying may not work, in which case I would recommend trying other types (other pills, the ring, etc), to see which is best for you. Like anything, it's just a matter of finding the right fit for you.

I've always had anxiety and a pretty severely depressed mood the week before and during my period. My dr prescribed me BeYaz today but I'm a little nervous that a BCP will worsen my symptoms. I've never been on one before since I've always been concerned I'll feel those symptoms ALL the time instead of right before/during Flo's visit.
Have any of you tried it? Have any of you tried other methods to cope with PMS/PMDD? She also said a low dose antidepressant the week before/during my period, or everyday, could help.
side note: i also take a low dose of Vyvanse for ADD and have noticed I feel worse if I miss a dose or two of Vyvanse then pick back up, or if I drink any caffeine when I'm taking Vyvanse.
