Gorgeous dress.  First, I would ask your bridal store what your options are.  Do they have something similar available in the correct color, perhaps from a different designer?

If not, I would look into Etsy – they have EVERYTHING.  You could purchase one you like, or even request a seller make one to match the gown, and then have it sewn on by whomever you originally planned to do it.

I second etsy! I’m sorry that happened to you, though!

Is it only the metal bling part? Is there fabric on it?

Is it just the little beads inside the flowers that are ivory? If so it might look just fine. Unless it’s a super yellow ivory I don’t think anyone would notice. Can you post a picture of them together once you have them? or have you already sent it back or whatever?

As the others have said you can buy just the embellishment type things without a belt. I’ve never specifically searched for them, but I have seen them around.

Is there a really obvious difference in colour? If the dress in the photo is white and the embellishment is actually ivory, I think they look fine together.

ETA: Never mind, you answered my question. Are the beads in the one they sent replaceable with white beads?

I really like the one you found on Etsy!

For what it’s worth, I tried on this dress and my MOH hated the embellishment on the chest. She said it looked cheap. So I think the crystals may work even better than the original.

I like the etsy embellishment, except for the 2 really large crystals on either side, those look a tad cheap. I agree that the all crystal one will probably look better than the original with the beads.

@Miss Baker: Love that embellishment! I don’t think it’s too much with your dress!

@Miss Baker:  First, the dress is gorgeous and it’s unfortunate the embellishment doesn’t match!  But, I am glad you found someone on etsy to help you out!!  Do you mind sharing who you’re working with from etsy because the picture is fabulous!!

If you really can’t stand them together I would try going with the etsy seller. But if it doesn’t look bad just stick with it! Pictures of the dress and embellishment together?
