I have been having some serious issues with my dress from Priscilla of Boston. Once they closed their salons, they apparently also stopped caring about alterations. I paid in full for alterations and the dress was never properly fitted through the waist, resulting in a horrible wrinkling/puckering at the waist.
I took the dress to another seamstress and was willing to pay what I had to pay to alter the dress so that it fit properly. To my dismay, the new seamstress told me that my dress was “damaged” and their was nothing that could be done but to cover the problem with a sash. Not exactly what a bride wants to hear 5 weeks before the wedding! So, I bought an Enzoani sash that I suppose is better than the puckering.
I would love to see other brides who added a sash to their dress to make me feel better that my dress, although not what I originally envisioned, can still be beautiful.

I’m debating on if I should add this sash or not, but this pic could inspire you.

I think sashes can add a lovely touch to a dress when you pair them up properly. What does the sash look like? And the dress?

There are plenty of great examples to be found.

My sash was built into the dress and gathered in the back. I really like dresses that have them, as long as the dress itself isn’t too busy.

My Enzoani sash came with my dress and I debated wearing it or not. My dress came in today and I decided that I love the sash!

I am adding a sash to my Detalle. I think a sash can help add a little something and help define your waist. Really depends on the dress and your tastes.

I didn’t add mine but I have a sash and love it!

I have two sashes. A black one for some pictures, and a crystal one for reception. I feel like they really make the dress.

I did a plain dark sash, and I thought it helped define my waist. I think sashes add interest–this could be a really great add to your dress!

Aw, I’m sorry about your dress difficulties! That would bring any bride down.
I added a belt to my dress, and I feel it makes my dress!

I ordered my dres without the beading and I’m adding a gray sash. This was the sample and a sash they had the was similar in color to what I want. I think sashes are beautiful and they really help define the waist.
