Hey Bees, just wondering who is getting there make-up professionally done? or are you doing it yourself the day of the wedding??

Also, wondering if you have had your make-up trial done already if you could post some pics...thanks!

My FSIL is a makeup artist and offered to do it for me. So far she's just tried out the airbrush gun on me. I'm going to get her a gift card to thank her.

I am getting my makeup done at the salon where I am getting my hair done the morning of.  I wear very light make up most of the time, and I want to keep it natural looking, but I know I won't put on enough or put it on right to look good the whole day.

I've recently aquired more make-up skills but still would rather trust a professional for the big day. Especially since many photos will be taken. I wanna look gorgeous.

I'm having mine done. Although, I have to say, I went for my trial make up with the girl that's doing it for the wedding, then went shopping to buy my own cosmetics so I'd have them for touchups throughout the day. The girl at the MAC store that did my makeup application when I bought it did a WAY better job!

i'm doing my own make-up...i feel like i came out of the womb wearing make-up so it's all very natural to me. i did my sister's make-up for her wedding (and i actually do it for her when she has any important social events to go to).  it's weird that i'm a whiz with lipstick & mascara and she barely can tell the difference between the two if you lay them side by side on a table lol. this is definately one part of my wedding that i knew i was always going to do myself. i'm on the fence about my hair though. we'll see how that goes.

I'm getting my makeup professionally done--I just can't do it so that it stays for over a few hours.

My 2 cousins are cosmetologists and own their own salon.  They're doing our hair, and I'm going to have them help out with my make up, so kind of a mix.  I'm using all my own products and having them give me some pointers.

I'm getting it done not because I can't achieve the look I'm going for by myself, but because when I apply my own makeup it tends not to last (freshly) more than a couple of hours.

I'm getting it professionally done.  I do "just ok" with everyday makeup and want something spectacular for the wedding.  I have my trial next month.

If I found someone who did airbrush foundation I would probably get it done professionally for sure.

I think i'm going to do my own.  I am also on a budget and I find when I get it done professionally they do a "make under."

Sometimes my skin just really suck (dry, oily within hours, etc) but i'm hoping it cooperated that day :S

I'm getting it professionally done. I wear makeup daily, but I am by no means an expert on application and in my opinion, the wedding day is at least one of the most, if not THE most important day to have beautiful makeup and hair. I will have both done at the same salon. Hair trial tomorrow night!

My godmother's daughter is only 18 but she is the most amazing makeup artist in the world.  She is going to do my whole bridal parties makeup!

We're short on cash, but I don't know the first thing about makeup (have never worn it), so I'm strongly considering asking a friend who will be finishing her last month of beauty school to do it. Hopefully for cheap. :)

I'm having it professionally done, as well as the hair.  I've never worn make up, don't know how to put it on so this was a no-brainer for me.  We are short on cash but I feel like I have no choice.  I had my trial done last weekend and it was great!

We had our hair and make-up professionally done twice--once for the ceremony, and once for the reception three days later.  Fortunately, we were able to find people at quite reasonable prices in both Boston and DC.  With two brides each needing it done twice, that would have been a major line item in our budget otherwise.

I want my make up professionally done because I don't wear make up usually and I don't really know how to apply it. I want fake lashes and they are hard to apply. I don't have any pics but my ex cousin in law (they weren't actually married but they had a child together) came over one day and did my make up. I really didn't like her because the make up was very minimal coverage and she said I had to ex foliate which I've heard over and over and don't like when its said to me; even if it's true it makes me feel bad.

I had my makeup professionally done.  It was the best thing for me since I have barely mastered blush.

I too am no make-up expert. I spend 20 minutes in the bathroom and come out to find that FI still can't tell I am wearing anyhting. I think I have facial dysmorphic syndrome or something, lol.

i had wanted to do my own make-up, but i didnt want to risk making myself look funny on such an important day, so i've hired a hair/makeup artist.
