Just an FYI - I love Sachiko (I'm using her for my wedding on 4/17) but when I did my trial in Sepetember she told me she was already booked for the rest of the month of April.
You may have better luck trying somewhere like fresh face forward - you can only book so far in advance with them so they tend to have more openings for people who book closer to their date.
I was a bridesmaid twice, and both times the brides used a makeup artist by the name of Sammi Mok. She's great and last i spoke to her, she also lives in queens.
She also does hair and makeup for the NYU fashion show, and the Ms Chinese NY pagent as well. let me know if you want her contact #.
I had Michiko do my hair and make-up for my engagement party as a friend of mine suggested her ($150). She's not asian but seems to have no problem with asian faces (mine and my friend's...) plus she's affordable.
I will be using Sissi Chan (on Mr. Bee's list) in May - I was really happy with my trial!
hey, just another a thought as i update... my friend and i had michiko (who by the way is asian afterall so i was totally wrong.. oops) over for a make-up lesson and guided shopping.. mostly since i'm make-up technique inept.... had a total blast... if anyone is looking for some guidance and a great time at reasonable cost.. i would suggest it for a girls night... i also had my trial today and was very happy. message me if you have any questions. !

Hi All!
I need help!
I'll be getting married 4/ 10/ 2010, location in Queens.
I am looking for a make-up artist (who can also do hair) for myself and my brialmaids. Preferably someone who can travel to our house.
Our wedding is in the Morning, so there is ample time to get ready!
SO PLEASE if you know someone who does great make-up for asian faces I am looking for your recommendations!
