@TG123:  Would it help at all to ask your father to ask Stepmom to lay off and that you want to plan your own wedding, not have it planned for you?

@TG123:  Maybe tell your sister that you are worried that everyone will be so busy the day of the wedding, so you would prefer to have a professional makeup artist do it so that it is a little less stressful? Or maybe that you want to ‘splurge’ on your makeup so that it looks perfect the day of the wedding. Also, if your sister’s style is ‘goth’ then would you want her makeup professionally done also, so that it it more in fitting with your vision for pictures, etc?

@TG123:  I think maybe you need to lay it out for stepmom that there are certain things that you have envisioned for your wedding, and things that you DON’T want for your wedding. Keep her included but final decisions need to be yours and your FI’s. Sounds like she is trying to plan her own ‘dream wedding’ vicariously through yours.

I don’t think it would hurt to just tell her the truth. Doing makeup for photography and bridal is a whole different ball game than just doing it for a night out. Tell her you appreciate the offer, but you have found someone who is very experienced and is a specialist for bridal makeup. Trust me on this one, I am a MUA. 🙂
