I’m looking for a good one too. I realized my “waterproof” certainly is a lie in the pool the other day. Felt like a wet raccoon.

Covergirl Last Blast waterproof (orange tube). Only mascara that’s ever smudged/flaked/run off on me.

I find that all waterproof mascaras tend to flake off and get into my eyes, so I am skipping the mascara all together and getting lash extensions ( My sister does them so it will be super cheap for me, they are normally pretty pricey though)

Clinique Naturally Glossy Mascara– in Jet Brown.  I’ve been wearing it forever (my mom gave me my original one from her makeup bag when I was first interested in makeup) I tried a few cheaper brands when I was a poor college student, but I always go back.  🙂

when needing a waterproof mascara, i have always used maybelline great lash waterproof mascara and in 15+ years of using it, i have never once had a problem.

i don’t wear waterproof enough to justify spending $$$ on mascara.

@vorpalette:  THIS. I have very oily skin and deep set eyes. This means that even with a light coating of regular ‘waterproof’ mascara I get little black smudges just below my eyebrow a few hours after applying. Lash Blast waterproof (both in the orange and purple tubes) is the ONLY mascara that does not do that. I can even wear it on my lover lashes and it stays put. I have tried a billion other waterproof mascaras but they all ALL smudge.

Clinique Lash Power Long-wearing Formula.

I work outdoors, and it can pour rain in my face, or I can sweat buckets, or get sand in my eyes and tear up like there’s no tomorrow, and my mascara doesn’t budge or flake.

It make little “tubes” that come off intact when I was with Neutrogena’s MU remover at night.

@MissDragonfly84:  Does it flake at all? I have the same issue with waterproof as the PP, it always flakes and gets in my eyes.

L’oreal Voluminous Carbon Black waterproof is great. I wore it in the pool this weekend, and it didn’t budge a bit. I usually do a layer of my favorite non-waterproof mascara, and then top it with the waterproof mascara. This makes it soooo much easier to remove with soap, and it also seems to help with the flaking, since I don’t have a bunch of layers of waterproof mascara. (I also had luck with the Rimmel exaggerate waterproof eyeliner. It doesn’t go on very smoothly- it’s kind of waxy compared to my higher end liners- but my cat eye look didn’t budge a bit, I was shocked. All the women we went with were complaining that I still had makeup on after the pool!).

Rimmel Sexy Curves Waterproof Mascara.  It’s amazing!  My eyes water at the slightest giggle, so I’ve had a lot of experience with this.  It’s the only one that doesn’t (at least for me) flake or end up running.  I love it.

@Treejewel19:  I don’t find it flakes at all. It’s actually a really great mascara overall. Adds lots of volume! I really liked L’oreal Voluminous Carbon Black and Make Up Forever’s smokey lash (both waterproof) but they eventually both gave me the black smudges under my eyebrows. I must be an extreme case, though, because I haven’t heard of other ladies having the same problem as I do!

Good luck!
