Considering the last 3 people I spoke with quoted me well over 100 dollars for myself and 75 for the girls, with a minimum of 5 people, it seems cheap to me. But it really depends on your location.
I guess it depends on where you are, but that seems pretty great for a consultation plus the day of! Good find.
I don't think that's bad. Do you pay for the consult first? Just asking in case you don't like her style (for some reason a lot of MAC artists always put on very heavy makeup).
You pay the 90 dollars the day of your consultation it includes the consult and your makeup the day off as well as secures her for the day.
It's not a bad quote, but not a price I would pay. Although you're paying for someone's skill, I always consider what I personally make an hour before I decide whether or not I pay someone else to do it.
For example, based on what you've been quoted, I would be doing it myself. Essentially, you're paying the artist for 2 hours worth of work + travel expenses for $90. If I made $30/hour, it would just be cheaper for me to do it myself.
Although, if you don't FEEL like doing it yourself or whatever other reason to not doing it yourself, you pay for someone else's time and skill.
My makeup is $100 the day-of and $40 for the trial. My girls are paying $55 each. Those prices are discounted because we have more than 5 people!
I think that sounds about right. I am paying $125 for myself and $60 for each girl. Given the fact that I'm in Boston and prices are a little bit more expensive I think your quote sounds on target.
If that includes coming to your hotel or house or whatever (as in, travel fees), it's very reasonable. If it doesn't include travel fees, it's on par with normal, depending in your location.
For my make-up, I paid $130, plus tip for my trial and day-of application, and the make-up artist came to my hotel room.
That seems really reasonable. I was quoted $450 for hair and makeup, but it includes a trial run for both. She also uses airbrush which makes it a little more expensive
If that's airbrush makeup, that's a great deal!
My package was $125 (included trial, day-of makeup, and travel to my house), and each BM was $75.

I got a quote today from a woman who works for the MAC counter. She is quoting me 90 dollars for myself which includes my consultation and day of makeup and then 50 for each girl(without lashes)....seems a bit much or is this about right?
