Most brides I know use a makeup counter for their e-photos - is that available to you? Just call ahead to make an appointment and ask what their minimum purchase requirements are. Usually it's a 2-3 item purchase, which is quite a deal if you need makeup anyhow!
How about checking with Van Michaels salon? They're really good. I know I used to go to Carter-Barnes' Salon and loved them.
How about get a makeup trial with the artist and have her teach you everything. That might work too instead of hiring her for the photo shoot and the wedding day? If she did that you could also be 100 percent ready to touch yourself up at the wedding should you need to also!
Here's the list of Carter Barnes prices:

I second the make-up counter idea, we had our e-pics on a Sunday as well and since I just wanted my hair flat ironed I went to the Toni & Guy in the Alpharetta mall (since they are open on Sunday) and then walked over to the Clinique counter afterwards for my makeup. So you might check to see which salons are open in Perm. Mall on Sunday and try one of them out.

Hi -
We're having our engagement photos taken on a Sunday and my usual hairdresser doesn't work on Sunday's. Would anyone have any recommendations for a hairdresser and/or a make-up artist who is affordable and works on a Sunday, especially in the Dunwoody area? We're using Formal Faces for the actual wedding day but I just can't justify those prices for an engagement shoot.
Thanks!
