Does anyone else have this weird thing where they don’t like people watching them get their makeup done?
Its not a huge deal or enough to keep me from doing it..but sometimes I #1 get uncomfortable with people being that close to my face and
#2 don’t like people standing there watching me get my makeup done…
I have a feeling this is weird..anyone else have this problem?

I get extremely stressed out and anxious if anyone comes near my head especially my face. To that extent I feel the same ways about my hands and feet.
In general I can force myself to get my hair done every 3 months and get very ocassionaly pedicures. I however do not allow anyone to mess with my fingers or touch my face (except my FI because it really angers him I won’t let him touch my face so I cringe and bear it while he only does it occassionally). I have been like that as long as I can remember and my mother even was forced to avoid touching my head because of it.
I have learned to do beautiful nail art myself (people are always asking for my manicurists number) and I practice all the new makeup techniques I like until I have perfected them and then I decide if I want to use it or not.
I always recommend if you are uncomfortable then take measures to remove stress when you are already in a stressful situation. Therefore I would either ask my friends to be elsewhere while my makeup is done or get a screen/room divider so you can be blocked off during that time. Of course you could always do it yourself.
Just don’t let it add to an already nerve racking day.

Hello! I am a make up artist and totally understand how you feel! I personally do not like my face touched and yet love doing make up. If you want your make up done any way I suggest to not talk to much during the application and take direction from the make up artist this will reduce the time spent in close proximity. Also request to have your make up done with out a crowd. Make up artists draw crowds mainly because people want to learn our tricks. Some people love the attention and others would rather not be in the spot light. So let your make up artist know your preference. I hope you find a make up artist that can make you feel more comfortable for your wedding day. Best of Luck!
