I just had a trial done by Ignacio at MAC at the Nordstrom (Stonestown Mall) today. He charges $75 for the "day of" for brides, BM and moms AND will travel within SF for that price! I LOVED my trial with him and was wowed! My eyes look amazing and not overly done and he did some crazy contouring that makes my face look slim! :D
I walked up to the counter, not expecting to get made up but he gave me a bridal makeover, answered all my questions and was willing to try different things. I ended up buying a bunch of MAC stuff because he had spent so much time on me and I didn't have a formal appointment but it's stuff that I would have normally purchased anyway.
I had another trial with a "bridal make-up artist" who charges $350 for the "day of" two weekends ago and it was only meh in comparison.
HTH!
Hi there,
I'm in the SF Bay Area as well. What is your budget? Are you just looking for yourself or the bridal party, parents, etc?
You can also try poking around Laura Mercier and Bobbi Brown counters to see if they can recommend someone (either one of their own).
I don't want to spend more than $75, so meli's suggestion is great! As far as I know, it will just be me.

Hi.. I'm at a loss. Looking for an affordable but talented makeup artist in the bay area. Any ideas? Thanks!
