Are you going to require that they do both hair and make-up? If so, I definitely recommend helping them with part of the cost, or keep looking. Although those prices sound really reasonable for wedding hair and make-up; you might have a hard time finding much better.

Would you be open to letting the girls do their own makeup? That might make it easier.

That’s actually pretty reasonable for what I’ve seen in my area.

Bakerella, I was recently a Bridesmaid or Best Man in a wedding in Mississauga, ON (it’s my hometown!! but now I live in Calgary). We had a hairstylist and makeup artist for $50 each so that would be in your budget. I’ll find out the numbers of the ladies and PM you.

my hair = $80, Bridesmaid or Best Man hair =$80, my makeup = $55 (including false eyelashes)

i’m paying for their hair and they’re all doing their own makeup 🙂

when i was a Bridesmaid or Best Man, it was the same… i did my own makeup and my bride friend paid for the BM’s hairs..

could you research other stylists in your area?

That’s actually pretty reasonable from what I’ve found, cheap actually. Does the makeup/hair come to you or do you go to them?

That seems normal. My prices are:

Hair: Bride & Bridesmaid or Best Man = $95 each

Makeup: Bride + 2Bridesmaid or Best Man = $85 Bride, $65 Bridesmaid or Best Man

Bride + 3BM = $80 Bride, $60 Bridesmaid or Best Man

Bride + 4Bridesmaid or Best Man = $80 Bride, $55 Bridesmaid or Best Man

I am paying $30 towards each of their hairstyling since I want everyone to have something ‘done’, but makeup is totally up to them. Some of my BM’s don’t care about the cost but don’t want makeup done, that is totally fine with me.

You know, I dont know what your timing is or anything. But what I am doing is going to mac and having them do my makeup. its free and easy. and also, they ask you buy some merchandise for the services. so ill just buy the lipstick etc etc for touch ups later. super cheap!

those prices sound about right. but perhaps some of your BMs prefer to do their own makeup. as long as they’re comfortable, and you’re okay with it, it’s perfectly fine to save some money that way!

That is cheap! My trial cost me $100.  Day of will be $200 for hair and makeup.

I emailed several different MUA and they quoted me $400 – 500 for just the bride!!!
