Did you take a sample picture with you to show them what you wanted? If not, then give them a second chance with an inspiration picture. Or else check out a different makeup counter. MAC is supposed to be made for professional photography. Were the pictures you took afterward using the professional cameras/film that your photographer will be using? They are naturally going to turn out differently than non-professional pictures.

Mojito are you getting married in the Valley? I'm doing a trial with a spa/salon up in Sedona, but I'm not much help if you're getting married in the Valley proper.
I used Adriana Fontes for my wedding. She did a fabulous job for my bridesmaids, my mom, and myself. Everybody looked stunning! None of us ended up looking like drag queens or hookers, which was my biggest fear. :)

Hola Phoenix hive!
Does anyone have any suggestions for a makeup artist? I am looking for something natural (in terms of a makup look) and someone that will travel to my venue. Any thoughts are very appreciated! My first makeup trial at MAC didn't go too well...too much makeup for me and the pics made me look washed out. yikes :-/
