I'm using Emily of Cheekadee (http://www.cheekadee.com/). I've heard great things about her and I'm having my trial on Sunday, so hopefully that goes well!

Both Mrs. Bruschetta and I also used Emily of Cheekadee -- she is wonderful and very reasonably priced!

@cupcake: After I posted, I remembered that you and Mrs. Bruschetta both used her and that was one of the reasons I decided to go with her, in addition to a great recommendation from my DOC. :)
hi jayleah...i too am looking for a make-up artist in the philly area, and i came across this lady on weddingbee as well...here is her website, her name is aleksandra ambrozy..i just emailed her and she seems pretty reasonable, trial won't be till after the new year though..good luck and let me know how you like cheekadee..i also emailed them just now to get more info..
I had my trial yesterday and Emily was great! She really listened to what I was looking for and the makeup still looked good at the end of the day. And she's really nice and friendly, too! I would definitely recommend her. :)
I highly recommend Aleksandra! She was by far the most budget-friendly, but more importantly, she did an amazing job at my wedding. Make up was exactly what I wanted, she was professional, friendly, efficient. I have nothing bad to say. I've posted a review about her that you can look up, with photos.
How do you look up the review? I would love to see it! I have actually done make up for a couple of weddings and am EXTREMELY nervous about having someone do mine. I would like to find someone that I trust so that I don't have to worry about doing my own.
Make Up by Aleksandra I am so happy to have found Aleksandra. As an Asian bride with a multi-racial bridal party on a budget, I was worried about finding a make up artist who was an expert in doing all kinds of make up. Thank God I found Aleksandra! She is absolutely skilled in what she does. My make up was exactly what I wanted, and she also transformed all of my bridesmaids and my mother into a beautiful goddess. She uses quality make up that lasted all day and also felt natural on my skin, as I normally don't wear foundation. She is also very efficient, spending no more than 30 minutes to achieve perfection on each face. She was punctual, responsive to my e-mails and professional.
In addition, she is extremely friendly and sweet, and willing to listen to what her clients want. For instance, I wanted super smokey eyes, which she delivered beautifully.
Her fees were $50 per person for non-brides, and $75 for the bride, which included a trial at her studio in Old City Philadelphia.

hi everyone! just wondering if anyone has a good referall for makeup artists in the city. my regular stylist is doing hair fo rme and the bridal party, but i need to find someone for makeup. also, i'd prefer someone who is on the less expensive side, if that's even possible!
