@stassi761:  Use a makeup made for “high def.” No sunscreen, not in the makeup or under it, no shimmer in eyeshadow, blush, highlighter, bronzer, or anywhere. (Can use a tiny amount right on eyelid if you must, but I don’t even recommend that)

On my wedding day I wore Dior Airflash Spray foundation. I took a nice buffing brush, sprayed the product on it, and blended it in my skin. I use this foundation for all special occasions when I know I am going to be photographed. It is amazing!

Other products I used that I love are:

Lancome Artliner (I have been wearing this everyday for the last 12 years. It is a holy grail product for me.

Skindinavia Setting Spray in the Bridal formula – I used this before and after my makeup

Bobbie Brown stick concealer was great for covering up any stress blemishes I had

MAC Mineralized Skinfinish Natural is another holy grail product for me that I wore on my wedding day and have worn everyday for the last 4-5 years

@stassi761:  On my wedding day I made sure to not wear anything with SPF in it (as suggested above by FutureMrsDrI). SPF will reflect the camera light and look weird in pro photos.

I made an appointment at Sephora so that I could have them match my skin with a great foundation.

My wedding day face routine went I have sensitive combination skin:

I haven’t gotten any pics back yet from the photographer since my wedding was Sunday, but I’m really happy with how my makeup looked!!

I did my own makeup. I spent money getting good products, but they are things I can use repeatedly instead of a one day cost for a MU artist. I put in a lot of time watching videos and practiced repeatedly with different techniques and lighting. In the end I was very pleased.

I used:

– Revlon Colorstay Foundation (this is my daily wear, but it can be built up to a fuller coverage for big days)

– Urban Decay for my powder, bronzer, blush, eye primer & eye shadow, setting spray

– Monistat anti-chafing cream for my foundation primer

– Cover girl long lasting lipstain (I can’t remember the particular name of it)

I was very pleased with all of it. I tried the Urban Decay foundation and while I liked it, I didn’t want to use a new product days before the wedding in case it irritated my skin.

I used a lot of Sephora stuff. Smashbox primer, MUFE HD foundation and Urban Decay eye products. Urban Decay setting spray was awesome too.
