I would like some feedback on my makeup trial (DIY). I was going for a very natural look as I don’t normally wear makeup. I feel like it came out pretty well. I have included pictures with and without my glasses (which I will be wearing most of the day).
As I look at these I can see that my blush was asymmetric, so that is noted for future reference.
So, what do you think?

I actually think it looks really nice and natural, but maybe there is just a touch too much blush? Not so much too much as much as it seems rather low on your cheeks.
Also, try putting a little bit of blush at your hairline. It will make you look a little more glow-y 🙂

Oops, double post! sorry!

You have absolutely BEAUTIFUL and flawless skin (love the freckles!). Definately a good natural look. The blush is a little heavy for me with how light everything else is. Either play up the eyes a little more (black mascara would do the trick) or not use as much blush. Overall though, absolutely GORGEOUS! Love, love, LOVE the lips!

Your skin looks great, but I’d recommend going with a little brown eye liner on the top of your eyelid with some brown-black mascara on the upper lashes to make your eyes pop a little bit more. Or even try Almay’s Blue Eyes collection Shadow eyeliner and mascara, go for the more subtle shades (not the ones for a smoky eye). They work well for enhancing, and a more natural look. Or you could even just sweep a soft apricot eye shadow on your lids for a “glow”, with a cream color shadow on your brown bones (highlighting the arch).

I think the blush might be fine, especially since you want it to show up in pictures and last the whole day. I think it looks adorable. And you look beauitful!
This is just my personal taste, but you may want to try to experiment with a little more eye makeup, paricularly maybe some dark brown eyeliner and black mascara. Right now you look beauiful, but you may want your eyes to be a little more defined, especially for the pictures. Maybe try shading the outer corners of your eyes with some warm eye shadow, blending it with a lighter shimmery one, then adding the liner and mascara.
Either way though, you look beautiful!

I love the natural look, but I would play up the eyes a little more….some mascara and maybe some eyeliner on the top lids so that your features stand out in your wedding photos!
You also have wonderfully full lips…perhaps some gloss?

I agree with the other ladies about eyes. You’ll want to pop in photos a bit!
Otherwise, I love the natural look!

i agree with others before me! you did a great job but some eye makeup (even the slightest!!) will make a huge difference. I also think a more peachy-pink blush might work well with your complexion and give you that “glow”. good luck!

I definitely agree with the rest of the wonderful advice you’ve been given. Mascara and a little eyeliner will make a huge difference!

Thanks for all the comments.
@FutureMrs.Wood: My lips are full enough that if I put anything on them that really highlights them, especially bright lipstick, I feel like I have clown lips.
@Violachap: I actually am wearing gold eyeshadow. I like it because it is not noticeable for itself, but it actually does highlight my eyes alot. I have really small eyes and the eyeshadow makes them pop a lot more than they do with out it.
I have been thinking about trying some mascara, but am a little nervous about it. I favor a very natural look and have seen a lot of people where I look at them before and after makeup and I think they look better before and alot of times I feel like where it all falls apart is the eyes. I really don’t want to end up with unnatural looking eyes or spider lashes.

@tnason: I understand your concerns. I don’t think anyone wants you to go overboard. But one truth of wedding day beauty is that the camera eats up your makeup. That is, even women who wear a lot of makeup on wedding day don’t look overly made-up in photos.
A bit of mascara can make a big difference without looking spidery. Just enough to give your lovely blue eyes the definition they deserve!

how about getting your eyebrows done??
it makes SUCH a big difference… you will still look really natural but it will really help show the beautiful eyes you have!!
no one will notice you’ve done them, but they’ll know you look even more beautiful!

Agree with a little brow shaping. You have a good arch, and I would do just a little to define them (thinning out toward the hairline). I have very thick brows and I found plucking them made my eyes look bigger and opened up my face.
I like the lighter colored makeup. Show your beautiful skin!!
