I saw the pictures, and I think you look cute. I recently saw someone else suggest that women should wear white to make-up trials just to get an idea of what the makeup will look like with their dresses. The makeup makes you look bright and cheery -- not sick or tired a bit. :-)
I think the makeup looks good! In my opinion I wouldn't go darker with the lips and cheeks - unless the eye shadow was a bit more natural (lighter colors).
If you liked your atrist I would definetly voice any concerns or changes to him/her. If you still feel a bit leary you could always request a 2nd trial with the new changes applied.
Oh, Worcester- no disclaimers needed. You are beautiful! And I think your makeup looks very natural. The only suggestion I might have (and I KNOW I'm saying this because I never wear lipstick) is that the lipstick tone might be a shade too dark/too glossy for me... but again, that's because *I* would feel self-conscious.
I think if you felt confident in this person's abilities, then you should go for it. Again, you look fabulous! (If I get brave, I'll share my makeup trial from this coming weekend!)
Very pretty!! I agree with doctorgirl that you might try a lighter shade of lipstick, or perhaps a dark shade of gloss. I wouldn't go darker with the blush, I think this gives you just the right amount of color and you will probably be blushing naturally a lot on that day.
One thing I tried -- just from my own experience, not because you necessarily need it -- was fake eyelashes. I didn't do them for my first trial but ended up trying them for my second, and I was amazed at how they made my eyes pop in photos.
Overall, though, a great trial.
I think it's very pretty! My only suggestion would be one already mentioned by doctorgirl...the lipgloss may be a tad too glossy. But that's my oppinion, the rest looks perfect for your skin tone!
Very pretty. I do have to agree not to go darker. You have a very natural look and in my opnion thats how wedding make up should be as it allows your natural beauty to show through.
I like the makeup it looks very good on you and I love the lip color
No disclaimers necessary, pretty lady!
I like the makeup, but I agree, maybe a bit more color on the cheeks, the lipcolor doesn't need anything though.
As for learning how to use and wear makeup, I'm new to it too, but I've discovered a website that is really helpful. It's called makeupgeek. There are tons of tutorials, tips, info on good makeup you can ge for under $10. It's fabulous. There are tons of different looks in the tutorials. She uses a lot of expensive makeups but you can just use whatever makeup you have or can find in your price range.
I think that's a lovely look for a spring/summer outdoorsy type wedding. I love it! I'm not sure what kind of wedding you're having (I'm relatively new here...maybe I should know that?), but my only suggestion is that if you're having a glamorous, evening wedding you might want to go a little darker with the eyes.
You look gorgeous!
BTW I love the lipstick, but I think it might be kinda glossy for pictures. If it's glossy that means it's not long-wearing...and it might come off earlier than you want. That being said...what was it? I think I want to try that color. It's just so darn pretty on you!
My makeup artist used a coral...and I didn't like it. I think berries are much more flattering.
Fake lashes are good, too, but I think they were overwhelming on my face. I am part asian and have smaller eyes, so my lady recommended the individual ones. If the big spidery legs one freak you out, that's a nice glam option. I've been wearing them on the outer corners to work to practice with!

Hey Ladies,
I need to decide whether I'm going ahead with this makeup artist, and if so call her with confirmation and any "adjustments" I want to make. I don't usually wear much makeup (I'm learning), though, so I have a hard time with figuring out what's possible, articulating what I want, etc. I think she did a fantastic job dealing with my skin issues, but I think I'd like a little more color in the lips and cheeks. Against my better judgment, I'm including a before picture. In my defense:
1) I was exhausted
2) I had a terrible cold
3) I had my period, and was all bloaty
4) When (1) or (2) happen, my left eyelid droops.
I asked for something elegant but not too dramatic, and pretty much left it up to her.
So... what do you think? What should I tell her?
Edit: they're attached now... Picture number 3 is the "before" picture, and I'm making the "do we really have to take a before picture?" face.
