We used foundation, blush (which I've never worn before), eye shadow, black crayon liner on the top, bronze crayon liner over the black and on the bottom, mascara on the top lashes only, and a pinkish-natural lip gloss.
I wear very little makeup, besides foundation, and I want to look very natural but put-together on my wedding day. I understand that I need to wear more color than usual because of my white dress, so I'm fine with that! (That's why I'm wearing a white shirt in these pictures haha)
Here's my inspiration picture - obviously she is photoshopped and I am not, but you get the idea!
And me...
And from far away (excuse the heavy editing - the lighting was difficult to work with)
ETA: To head off the questions - yes, one of my eyes is multicolored. :)
I think it looks great! My only thought would be to make your eyes pop a little more with some eye shadow. You can do something in the neutral family to keep the natural look. But even if you don't change a thing you will be a beautiful bride!
I think it's beautiful! I love the natural look - i'm also someone who doesn't frequently wear makeup.
You are so beautiful and your makeup looks great! My only suggestion would be to add a little lip color or even gloss if you want to keep it neutral.
I think you look beautiful and natural, but I would go for the liquid liner to be closer to your inspiration pic and take it up a notch.
You look great!! My only suggestion would be to maybe curl your eyelashes. I've found that curled eyelashes can make a huge difference. You can buy an eyelash curler for just a few dollars at any drugstore.
I think it looks good I would just add some false lashes. You can get lashes that look more natural so its not obvious but gives that extra, pictures tend to lose lashes. I would also kick the blush up just a tiny bit more that will also get lost in a picture. This is my experience and professional opinion as a photographer/makeup artist.
Beautiful! My only suggestion is a little more "oomph" with your eyelashes, just to really make your eyes pop!
@Styles: I agree, this is what I was going to suggest too. Have you considered false lashes?
@Ms.GoodEarth: I do not think I am brave enough to wear false eyelashes. :S
@gangqinjia: You are goreous! I love your inspiration. For a wedding, I think you need just a teeeeeeny bit more. Have you though about doing eyelashes? That's what I would accentuate on you. And I would def do liquid liner. I do bold with makeup though, and my makeup was dramatic but natural if that makes any sense at my wedding!
I think it looks good but I would add some false lashes, a bit more blush, and a little more color on your lips. Otherwise I like it!
As you want a really natural look with minimal eyes and lips I really suggest you contour!
To really get a proffessional look like your inspiration pic, I suggest purchasing some contouring and highlighting products, this picture shows you where to apply them. This will stop your face washing out in photos and looks amazing.

You look GORGEOUS. I wouldn't change anything from your overall inspiration, except to say that you may need just a little bit more color lip and cheek-wise for on the day. Your closeups are flawless, but it's tough to tell that you're wearing anything in that picture from far back. (You still look beautiful though, no worries.)
I think it looks great, a lot like your inspiration pic. If your looking suggestions, I would probably add lashes or a bit more color to your eyes, but otherwise very nice!
I was hesitant about doing false eyelashes... but i was convinced to try them, and I loved them!!! It really made a difference in pictures, makes your eyes pop without looking too over done. I also don't wear much make-up.
@babypearls: Sure thing. Here is a closeup of my eyes... The reason why I have never, ever dared to wear anything other than brown eye shadow. (Makeup for blue eyes! Makeup for brown eyes! Makeup for green eyes! So what do I do? O.O)
As you can see, even the "more normal" eye has a streak of green tint along the outside. It's really obvious in some lights, but not always.
And here's a closeup of my "mutant" eye, taken with my friend's incredible camera.
@Woodstock: Did they bug you, or threaten to fall off? That's what I'm worried about!
For the rest of you suggesting mascara - I wanted a more volumizing mascara rather than lengthening, but the makeup artist didn't have one on her (and I might not actually hire her - she was just helping me figure out how to do it myself). Would that be enough or do I need the length/curl too?
Oh and - thank you to everyone for your sweet compliments and helpful advice! :)
@gangqinjia: I LOVE YOUR EYES! Seriously I have always loved multicolored eyes but having one thats just like a rainbow is the coolest thing I have ever seen. When I was a kid I wished I had one brown and one blue.
I don't really know what to say about the makeup because I usually wear a lot of eyeliner but I just wanted to say I love your eyes!!!
I like it! I would go heavier on the blush (as the day wears on it will be good to have colour in your pictures) and I would apply lashes or do a heavier mascara on the upper lashline.
@HappilyEverAfter54: Thank you! I have kind of a love/hate relationship with them. I think it's really fun to have my own color of eyes, but sometimes they look odd or downright creepy.
@MissLibra: It's funny how it looked like SO much lash in real life, but in pictures it's not enough!
I think a little lip color would pull the look together and still leave you looking (pretty) natural.
@gangqinjia: very natural & pretty! I would say to maybe either add some fake lashes or some more mascara so your lashes look more BAM! I love CoverGirl Lash Blast mascara... the purple one is the one I favor for every day instead of the orange but for AMAZING lashes that will stay and be incredible I use the 24-hr lash blast - its seriously unbelievable and doesn't come off easily (in case you tear up at all like I did... lol)
I also might find a lip color that sort of finishes the look...
Your blush and foundation look great tho!
Looks really pretty. You're naturally very beautiful. My suggestions are just as PP have said. Fake eyelashes would really make a big difference in making your eyes pop without adding heavy eye makeup. My other suggestion is adding contouring/highlighting. You can see in the inspiration pic how defined her cheekboke is from contouring and I think that would look great on you too and still look very natural.
I think you look gorgeous, but I also agree maybe some false lashes would give your eyes a little more pop. I used the little individual ones and they were pretty comfortable. Otherwise maybe experiment with some different mascaras? I use "better than false lashes" by Too Faced, it's a bit expensive but it really does work wonders once you get the hang of applying it.
@gangqinjia: The makeup is almost identical to your inspiration photo. The artist did a great job. You're naturally a beautiful girl, so you don't need much make up. If that's your style and preference then that's what you should go with.:-)
I think the makeup is lovely, soft and natural. Perhaps a lipstick or lipstain that's a very similar shade to your lips to give a bit more definition. Revlon Super Lustrous "Blushed" comes to mind for a drugstore brand, or Revlon Color Burst "Rosy Nude" or Rimmel Kate 08.
And your eyes aren't "mutant", they're unique and beautiful.
I do agree with PPs that false lashes would really make your eyes stand out without adding a bunch of makeup. They can feel really funny at first but you get used to it. There are lots of "natural" false lashes that give you a bit of oomph without looking overdone or "fake".
If you really don't want to try the falsies, consider really volumizing black mascara, or even something like Too Faced's new fibre mascara (can't recall the name but they make your own lashes super full and long). You can buy it at Sephora and maybe Ulta?
I used RapidLash lash serum for 3 months before my wedding and my lashes were noticably darker, thicker and especially longer. It costs about $50 (cdn) for a 2 month supply. Again, much more expensive than falsies but may be an option for you.
First, your eyes are so unique and beautiful! As for your makeup, I think it looks very pretty and natural. As some of the PPs said, I think you should play up your eyes more with either a heavier mascara or false eyelashes. I lean toward mascara because I'm paranoid about falsies falling off.
Your eyes (and you) are gorgeous! I really like your makeup, it's very natural and sweet!! I agree that your eyelashes just need a little more oomph, but I think a volumiing mascara can fix that in a heartbeat!
ATTN EVERYONE: Can anyone upload pictures of themselves with and without false eyelashes?
I will definitely try a volumizing mascara, probably more lip color and liquid liner, but I'm still tentative about the false lashes...
that one eye is super cool girl!!
I think you need a bit more eyeliner on the lower lash, closer to the eye.
Maybe some eye shadow too, like a neutral brown.
You are gorgeous though!
I had false lashes on my wedding day and I loved them! They looked awesome. I will show you.
Me without false lashes:

And with false lashes on my wedding day:

\
I think it looks very natural, and I love that! I think adding false lashes would be great. They look so pretty, and they come in various lengths. I had only worn them once before the wedding (at the trial), and they felt fine the day of. They even stayed on through all my happy crying (and there was a lot! lol)
@peasantsong: Thank you! Those really look amazing. I think I'll have my MOH help me try some out...
@sarahbabs: What brand did you use?
@gangqinjia: Oh man, I do not remember for sure - my MUA brought them. I think they were Sephora? They have a large selection of store brand ones, so it is worth checking htem out.
You can also get individual pieces of false lash added that are more subltle, if you are afraid of the full on false lash.
Agree with PP, would think about false lashes (I seriously can't even feel them after they've set!) and a bit of color on your lip, and it would be perfect!
