Yes. You really should find some inspiration pics. The artist will appreciate it and you are more likely to get what you want that way.

Yes, I’m bringing some pictures.  I want to make sure I give the makeup artist a good idea of what I want, especially when it comes to my eyes!

like everything else artistic and subjective, one person’s definition of “smokey” might be another person’s “everyday NATURAL look”! so it’s easier to bring a photo and then everyone can be on the same page!

however, wedding planning gets chaotic and stressing about last minute inspiration photos can be a lot! (i’ve been there…but i was lookiong for hair styles ~ lol~ it was super stressful~ i was looking for hours!!!)

so I would recommend if you are pressed for time, at the makeup trial is when you can make adjustments. Be sure to communiate to the artist immediately what you would like to be changed if you see something you don’t like. And communication with each other is key.  I don’t think it’s rude or inconsiderate to speak up when you see something.  my friends ask me what to do sometimes in those awkward situations~ Let’s say the artist decides on GREEN to go with your color scheme or something~ and she lays on the base color eyeshadow and already you feel like you will not like it!!!  so then, you tell him or her you are NOT SURE about Green.

If the artist says: “Can you let me finish this look so you can see what I had in mind before you decide you don’t like it?” You can respond respectfully and say: “I know we have a limited time for the trial so if you are sure this is the right color for me, then go for it – but I can tell you that green is not my favorite color and I don’t know how I feel about it. I look forward to the look, but I want to have the option of changing it in the end, is that OK?”

lol I know this is a lot of words…You don’t have to say it in those words or anything, I’m just saying that there are respectful ways to communicate with each other without hurting each other’s feelings.  A wedding is an emotional day and you want to look perfect, and the artist probably wants you to feel beautiful as well and should be on your team!  Good luck~~!
