I'm booking a makeup artist and hair person for my wedding date kind of at the last minute. There is a bridal boutique that has my date available, they do airbrush makeup, etc. They responded quickly and will send me an agreement to hold the date etc. I am happy because they said they were all booked except for my wedding date, at the last minute, so it works out perfectly.

The other person is a private vendor, more like a freelancer, who works directly out of her home. So not even really a professional person, but more random.

When I was looking for florists, there was one that was like that, "worked out of her home."

For some reason I am not comfortable working with "freelancer" people.

I think I would rather go for the professional boutique? (Just as I am choosing the florist from an actual shop.) Do you think this is wise? Do you think that is weird of me to prefer the *real vendors* as opposed to the private people who do it more like a hobby or something?

Do you think I should stick with the bridal boutique?

You should go with what you are comfortable with.  We went with freelancers, because we were able to find someone within our budget who would come to our ceremony venue--which simplified our morning.  But if the boutique works for you, why switch?

My makeup and hair artist are free-lancers.  They rent space in a salon when they do trials.  They are real vendors but have no need for a store-front because of the nature of their services.  Likewise, our DJ had us meet him at coffee shops.
