I had trouble with this too. I just asked friends and that is how I got my referrals. The hairdresser is coming to my home and she is actually my girlfriend's regular hairdresser. she only does weddings on the side currently so let me email her and see if I can PM her info to you. She did my trial last week and she did an incredible job, really pleased with her work.
The Make Up Artist is actually my friend's cousin, Janelle. She does have a business called Inspire Glam. I haven't had my trial yet, but have seen her work so I am confident that she'll do a great job.I believe that she also does hair.
Will she come all the way up to Lowell u think? I see you are in Rhode Island?

I was thinking of secretly asking my hairdresser if she would request the day off and we would pay her to come to our house lol... I don't know how that would go over...
I am originally from Wilmington, MA and I am getting ready at my parents house. I tried asking my regular hairdresser too but she said she doesn't do wedding hair anymore...which is too bad since she cuts 5 of the 7 people getting hair done.

Jennifer Lawler is a great wedding makeup artist and her rates are super reasonable!
She does't have a website but drop her an email and she can send you photos and info!
David Nicholas is my A#1 Favorite but he's booked months in advance. Because he was booked for a Fashion Show of mine this weekend, I hired Ligia Centeno of Makeovers by Ligia and she is now inches behind David. She does beautiful work! 4 very different models all looked gorgeous and like Themselves naturally beautiful, in person and in the pictures. We <3 Ligia!
I had a great make up artist I used for my wedding day! Her name is Suzy Roy and she's out of Maine but she will travel and has before! Her rates were very reasonable and her work was amazing....
My hairdresser is a friend of mine she also can travel and works out of a salon in NH called Eclipse. Her name is Dyan Brisson. If you want to PM me, I'll send you both emails and contact info!

You should give Caitlin Murphy a call...she is simply amazing! She's Boston-based but is travelling ALLLLL the way up to Northern NH for my mini-destination wedding. She does both hair and makeup...and like I said ...will travel. She uses airbrush makeup too so your face looks flawless...it's sweat proof, won't rub or fade off and is waterproof.

All you Boston brides out there I would love your help please!
I am looking for a makeup and hairstylist that will come to my house on the day of the wedding. Has anyone used one in this area that you can recommend? What are they called do they have a "name" to google or search for? I'm having the worst luck finding one around here. I guess just no one advertises themselves as such?
