We have something like this (although there are different sized shelves)... we turned it on it's side and I really like it..
What about something like one of these?
Google Ana White. She creates building plans and give you all the information you need to build it. I know she has a couple entry way table plans.
I just found this on Pinterest yesterday. Unfortunately, the original pinner didn't pin correctly, so there wasn't a link to the original.(If anyone does know where this originated, let me know!)
But it's basically just five pieces of wood and some nails. You could make it yourself, the the specs you'd like. I think it's really great!

Oh wow - all of these are great! Thank you! I looked at the Ikea tables, never thought of turning that first one on it's side. That is actually brilliant!
I LOVE the one posted by Gemstone - looks like it would be easy enough?? (says the non-handy girl LOL)
jjah89 - I will definitely google that tonight and check it out .. thank you guys so much. Keep them coming if there are more! :)
What about this shoe rack from Ikea?

Sorry, there are no users yet.
I have been wracking my brain, and the stores for a small, occational table for the top of my landing upstairs. Something that would be aprox 5' long, about 3-4' high and aprox 2' wide. Something that we could put a small lamp on, some pictures etc and make the landing feel a little less empty. I've really tried to find something online that was unique looking, wood, a little country ... with no luck. Thought about maybe building one with wine crates, or something funky like that. If there was room for a 2nd small shelf closer to the bottom of the table (for more frames, etc) that would be neat too.
Anyone have any suggestions, websites to look at... has anyone built a table before? I'm all good for staining one etc. Hubby is quite busy and I don't want him to come up with one from scratch.. thought I'd try my luck here first!
Thanks Bees! Any help is appreciated!
