Congratulations!  We did it in secret too.  We dressed nicely, but didn’t really do anything wedding-y for the ceremony.  Afterwards we went out for a great brunch to celebrate (morning wedding).   The only thing I would suggest is to maybe incorporate something from your big wedding into the secret one – if you have jewelry already, maybe wear the earrings or bracelet  or carry just one of the flowers for your bouquet…

We secretly eloped in January and I truly loved that it was just us saying our vows to eachother.  My sister (and MOH) was our witness and took pitcures, I bought a new winter white coat and pants and we were married outside at a favorite spot by the harbor.  My husband made it so special by making my bouquet and surprising me with it (it was awful but from his heart so I loved it!).  Then we all went to a great Italian restaurant to celebrate.  It was a wonderful day.

Make it special for you…..my favorite part was the spot we chose and my surprise bouquet!  Congratulations and enjoy every second of it!!!

YaY!! I agree wear something that you will be wearing on your “wedding day” as well!

We are thinking about this! We’re getting married in San Diego but live in Boston – it would really simplify the pre-wedding week to have the official stuff out of the way. We are considering it. I’m still on the fence about how i’ll feel about my “Wedding Day” not being “real”.

I concur with JustlikeHeaven – go out to a nice restaurant to celebrate and pop open a bottle of champagne or wine! Congrats and happy (early) marriage!

You can wear whatever you want, I think you kinda just stand there & they don’t have you do anything traditional. But I’d vote wear a cute dress & maybe have him get you some nice flowers :). You can dress up as much as you want, if you want. Yay & congrats!! Have fun 🙂

Ahh so excited! Wear your favorite outfit, curl your hair, consider telling ONE trustworthy friend to come and take some pics, and definitely rent a hotel room with room service for your wedding night!!
