I LOVE this! Thank you so much for sharing. There’s so much out there about Christian courtships and Christian marriages, but not so much about Christian engagements. We’ve already been engaged for a year and a half, and we still have nine months to go! I’ll bookmark this. 🙂

Very good article. My FH and I behave like we are already married emotionally. We already have the ’til death do we part’ mentality. We feel like the wedding is a formality.

Wait-Eliwhit, isn’t this written by YOUR fiance?

Loved this! Such a good reminder too, as I know N and I live in a culture where it seems that if you get engaged young (which we did) people just assumed it’s because we just want to have sex.

Anyways, I’ll admit – I went to Amazon. Does Rick Warran really have a book about engagement?

@ceamoste: I can’t be sure, but I’m thinking that was a call-out to The Purpose Driven Life. If there’s something else out there, I’m interested too.

Really liked this article, thanks for sharing.  Love the idea of allowing your ehaviors and actions throughout the engagement be your vows to one another.

Thanks so much for the link! What a great way to look at being engaged!
