Does anybody else just laugh uncontrollably at this movie? I swear I have seen it a gazillion times and it still makes me laugh. Pierce Brosnan's singing just kills me. I love Meryl Streep and Amanda Seyfried {how do you spell her last name?}, but PB just does NOT need to sing!

i don't watch the movie all the time, but I do listen to the soundtrack. It is the perfect summer soundtrack.  Funny though, I always skip over PB songs.  I do remember laughing uncontrollably during the movie when he sang.  Hehehe.

Love it!!!  I get made fun of a lot for that.  I like to put it on when I am doing chores around the house on the weekends.  Yes, Pierce Brosnan's singing just cracks me up.  I am just amazed at how great of an actress Meryl Streep with all of her recent movies, can't wait to see Julie & Julia...

@lemondrop~I know! She's been on fire lately. I can't wait to see Julie and Julia.

Also, in case y'all think I'm nuts, I really don't watch it all the time. It's just on HBO a lot and I am one of those people that likes noise on in the background while I work. It's an easy choice, since you don't have to concentrate to know what's going on.

@eloping~Meryl is great! The lycra is hilarious, but worth it.

We just watched it this past weekend at a bachelorette party and spent the WHOLE movie drinking and making fun of it and how funny it is. It's enjoyable and GORGEOUS, but also a musical, so it's in its own category

Freaked out by how the main actress only looks like, 16 (ok a 16 year old kewpie doll), and Pierce Bronson's bad singing.

    And the overalls, lol.

And the "orgy" scene, as we called it, where all of her 30+ friends suddenly show up half-dressed to party...that scene's pretty funny. We were cracking up.

I love Mama Mia! And as much as I love Pierce Brosnan-he must never sing again. Ever.

I watched Mamma Mia. It was good but it isn't my favorite movie or musical. It is hard for me to watch a musical when one or more of their characters cannot sing (PB for example). I do love Meryl Streep and Amanda (loved watching her on All My Children a while back)! They did awesome in this movie.

I too can't wait for Julia & Julie!

I've just seen it the once at the cheap seats theater.  My fiance went with me (is that true love or what?!) and we BOTH really enjoyed it a lot more than we thought we would!  It's a really funny movie and I'll definitely be watching it again.

Such a great feel-good movie!  He can't sing to save his life but it's cute how he tries sooooo hard!

I LOVE LOVE this movie. I own it & watch it on HBO!! I have the soundtrack from both the movie and the broadway play. I saw ABBA this summer too (not the original ABBA though)

Pierce Brosman's signing IS hysterical. I love it!!!

My FI and I went to go see this movie in the movie theater. He didn't know the ending...he was PISSED when sofie didn't get married. (it was shortly after we got engaged) I remember he was holding my hand and let go in a thowing/pulling motion because he was so pissed! lol

My 5 year old was singing Dancing Queen in the bathtub last night! It's a very catchy movie!

Oh and what about Christine Baranski's dance on the beach? THOSE are some AWESOME moves. LOL

Haha, my mom is OBSESSED with this movie -- and after seeing if 5+ times in the theater, is now a total Merryl Streep-head.  She's dying to see Julie & Julia!

I liked the movie, it was fun!  but loved, loved the Broadway play. I laughed and cried (don't ask why) I saw it with my mom. Now the song "Dancing Queen" has a especial meaning for us. Oh and I love the Abba soundtrack. Great catchy songs!
