So…I plan on having my best guy friend of 12+ years in my wedding party. Not in my fiance’s party, mine. He would by TECHNICALLY be a bridesmaid, but what do you refer to that as?? I’m having my MOH, an other BM and him. Is there a term for this role?? I don’t care if it looks “uneven” or “backwards” because I can do whatever I want. How would I list him in the program!! I’m sure many others have had this question

@BurlapnLace: They are often called “Honor Attendants.” You might want to not include any gender-specific role titles and list them in the program like this:
Bride’s Honor Attendants:
Ms Lindsey Bridesister
Ms Sarah Olson
Mr Mark Johnson
Groom’s Honor Attendants:

Man of Honor!
Mansmaid! (ok, not that one)
I wish I could have a bridesdude.
I would enjoy threatening him with skirts and painted fingernails. 😛
Obviously there is a reason I don’t have one haha

I’ve seen bridesmen before. 🙂 And groomswomen. Most people have same-sex bff’s, but not everyone, and you should have your closest friends/family with you.

You so have to have a Bridesdude!

I’ll list it as “Man of Honor”, but we have a joke with the name “Mary” (partly b/c he’s gay, and partly b/c of someone we know) so I asked him to be my “Mary of Honor”.
@CakeyP, I’ll have to make him NOT wear a dress and nailpolish!!

Bridesman, I think. I’m having one too! Except he’s my man of honour.
