I don’t have pictures because it’s on Saturday. However, I can tell you what we are doing. We are actually having all the groomsmen stand at the alter, so my bridesman is actually walking down the maid of honor at the end of the processional and same for recessional and one groomsman will walk alone. My bridesmaids are wearing eggplant and my bridesman is wearing an eggplant tie and vest while the groomsmen are wearing all black.

I had two bridesdudes (the pics of them aren’t available to be posted….PM me if you’d like to see pics) and they wore a navy blue suit like the best man. The walked down with women. We also had two groomswomen, and they wore navy like the bridesmaids.

I’m not on the computer with my photos so i can’t show you, but we had two guys and a girl on each ‘side’.  They each walked in single file and back out the same way.  It worked great ๐Ÿ™‚

We had the girls wear the same dress and the guys all rented the same suit.  It actually looked really cool.

I had my two brothers and my sister-in-law stand up for me. My DH had his sister and his two best friends stand up for him.

Processional went as follows:

1) My Brother #1 and His Sister

2) My Brother #2 and My Sister-in-Law (they’re married)

3) His Two Best Friends.

They actually linked arms and it was really, really funny!

We had all of the guys wear dark suits and any color shirt they wanted (no ties). Everything looked great!

I am so jealous!  My BFF is a guy and I wanted him to be my man of honor but my Dad said “If I’m paying for this wedding it’s not going to be a f&*%ing freak show!”

Of course I personally don’t think it would be a freakshow but whatever.  I’m sad he’s not going to be in it.

I had a guy friend in my wedding party. he wasn’t specifically my man of honor-my sisters were my “sisters of honor” He called himself the “gay of honor” (haha) and he walked in with my twin sister. In the program I listed my bridal party as “friends of the bride” and that was a nice way of including everyone.

EDT-my bridal party pic uploaded all wonky. It really doesn’t look like that. lol.

my fiance has a groomswoman and i have a bridesman, but i haven’t figured out what they should wear too.  I don’t want to put his groomswoman in something different from my bridesmaids because shes going to look like my maid of honour which i don’t want.  i could use some ideas and pics too!!

My best friend is being my Man of Honour and my FI is (probably) having a Best Maid. We’re going to have a bride-color and a groom-color. So my BMs will all have dresses of the same color (red), and my MOH will have the vest and tie to match. The GMs will all have the same vest and tie in a different color (pewter) and she’ll have a dress to match them. We’ve also toyed with the idea of putting her in a tux.

I don’t have pics since it hasn’t happened yet, but we’re having a groomswoman (so opposite I guess) for our wedding.  We’re having 4 people on each side, so everyone will walk down in pairs.  And one of my friends and the GW (as I just decided to label her) have the same name and are both 6’2″, so we thought it would be cute to have them be paired off.  ๐Ÿ™‚

I didn’t have a “Man of Honour,” but I did have a “Bridesman” and DH had a “Groomswoman.”

The Bridesman walked down the aisle by himself (just like the rest of the BMs) and the Groomswoman stood at the front with the GMs. Bridesman wore the same tux as the GMs. Groomswoman chose from the same dresses as the BMs (they all wore different dresses – just in the same colour/fabric).

ETA: Of course, when it came to walking back up the aisle after the ceremony, he and the Groomswoman were paired up.

He even took silly getting ready photos with us!:

And here’s my side of the BP:

Meealissa:  my dad isn’t happy about my gay best friend but it’s my wedding and we’ve been best friends since birth. I’m sorry your dad isn’t excepting it.
