I think you should get it done the day before that way you won't feel rushed if something unexpected pops up the day of or if something takes longer than planned.
= )
i say the day before, that is what i am doing, it needs enough time to dry.
I'd definitely go and do it the morning before, and make sure you have at least two hours afterwards to essentially sit around and do NADA, lol, so it can really properly dry.
I strongly suggest bringing in your own polish, or seeing if you can purchase any colors they put on your nails, so you can give yourself an emergency touch-up if needed.
I'm doing all of that fun stuff the day before the wedding :] That way we can relax, not feel rushed, etc.
I would definately go the day before! You'll have more time and no rushing or worries if by chance you don't like the result and they have to redo them or something. I want the morning before the wedding with my mom and we got them done together!
I'm doing it all the day before. Maybe even the thursday before! I want it to be relaxed and not feel rushed.
My ceremony is at 5 pm and I'm booking us for mani/pedis the day before. I have three bridesmaids who will be getting theirs done along with me, and I know it will take a good chunk of time to get all of us taken care of. We'd have to get up pretty early to have time for all of our mani/pedis in addition to hair and makeup on the day of the wedding. I want us to have fun with both the mani/pedi time and the hair/makeup time, I feel like doing them back-to-back might be exhausting and definitely a bit of a stressful time crunch. But if it's just you, with no bridesmaids to consider, then personally I would seriously consider doing it the morning of. Even a fantastic manicure can risk a random chip after 24 hours if you are doing crazy things like, say, using car keys or putting on shoes or any of those other million things that can screw up a manicure. I'll be extra extra careful trying to keep mine protected.
We're doing the morning/early afternoon before the wedding so that we can focus on hair and makeup and getting to the ceremony on the day of the wedding.
I am going to get a mani pedi with all my BM's! We are making an outing of it... I am really excited!!!
I'm doing it two days before because we have to travel to OC the day before with our families, check in the hotel and have the rehearsal. Also I don't know any places that are open Sunday or on Memorial Day.
I'm thinking about doing it the morning of, because I'm going to be doing my own flowers the day before and will probably chip any manicure I'd get. But it's interesting to see all the responses in favor of the day before.
I actually went the day before. It gave me time to relax and I didn't have to worry about rushing. Even with a late ceremony / reception, unexpected things can come up. Just better to get it over with the day before IMO.
I work in the beauty industry and I suggest to my customers up to 2 days in advace max for manicure and pedicure. but I also always have a little room for emergency fix ups and I also have the bride buy the colour she will be wearing (just a in case of emergency )
This is interesting. I have time to get it done on Thursday or on Saturday (morning of the wedding). I am thinking I may have a full mani/pedi done thursday and then schedule a polish change for the morning of. If I need it great, I can just be quick, in and out, my nails will already be shaped, etc.
Day before. It'll smudge when you put on shoes and are doing things on you're weddnig day.
Wanted to give an update from my experience this week...I got my mani/pedi two days in advance as planned. Then the night before I decided to try on my wedding dresses again so I could show them to my brother who was visiting and get his opinion. Bad idea...All the polish chipped off my hands wrestling with those garment bags and dress zippers. I had to get a polish change the morning of, luckily I found an open salon in the hotel.
Day before, there's so much going on the day of you'll probably be stressed trying to cram everything in. Plus, if you do it the day of you'll have to be super careful most of the day so you don't mess up your polish.
I'm actually doing mine two days before! Just because I'm taking Thursday and Friday off and I know I'll scramble around the day before for lots of things - plus my salon starts manis at Noon (none before for some reason)...no pedi for me, though - i HATE people touching my feet! lol (just sayin')
I had a 5 PM ceremony and did my mani/pedi the day before. 1) I wanted to have it done for the rehearsal & rehearsal dinner; 2) My hair & makeup appointment was at 11 AM on the wedding day, I didn't want to be on a schedule before 11 AM, and there wouldn't have been time afterward. I wanted to be able to relax and enjoy the wedding day rather than be on a jam-packed schedule with no wiggle room for unexpected snafus.
I brought my own nail polish in case I chipped it (I didn't).

When should I get my wedding mani/pedi? Should I go in the morning before the wedding day, or the morning of? Our ceremony doesn't start till 6 pm, so I definitely have time the morning of (before my hair and makeup artist comes). I like the idea of having a super fresh mani/pedi. What do you think? Newlywed bees: what did you do?
