That's a very sweet idea if your FI would go for it. I think I'd have to drag Mr.ND to one before the wedding to see if he liked it/any of it, or else I can see him just not going and the gift being wasted :-/
*p.s.- 'manscaping' totally made me think of cleaning up the business south of the border. Am I just a little perv, or is that what others thought this term meant, too?
Lol.
FYI, manscaping means trimming up the bushes in the snake region. ;) Not general upkeep.
@MsNarwhal: &@garden_bride: *sigh of relief* Yay, I'm not a little creepster, hahah!
Yeah, but my FI shaves his face and head so I thought the term would be an appropriate reference to his grooming needs.
@Ms.Clean: Huh? Manscaping is a term to describe men shaving their pubic region.
FI is going for pedicure and manicure before the wedding and possibly a few facials as well. Not including waxing and all that.
My husband takes excellent care of his body and his hair/skin/what-have-you. I mean, I'd have considered it had he needed it, but it was never a concern.
DH came with me to get a pedicure the morning of the wedding and we convinced him to get his brows waxed. Manicure was a line he wouldn't cross though.
Point 1: you would hope he would do "a little" something to spruce himself up for the wedding. I think you have a right to expect that.
Point 2: If my FB "made an appointment for me," she would never hear the end of it. We're not little boys. You can at least let us make our own appointments for God's sake.
He doesn't manscape and he wouldn't be caught dead in a salon getting any type of treatments
My husband got a haircut four weeks before the wedding. And shaved the day of. And that was the extent of his grooming.
There is a super cool old-timey barbershop in the TC Metro area that does straight razor shaves complete with barbershop songs and brandy. I'm pretty sure that's where he wants to go lol :)
My husband went to a old-fashioned barber shop the morning of the wedding with his groomsmen to get his face and head shaved with a straight razor.

He absolutely would refuse a facial, mani/pedi, etc though.

I have given plenty of thought to my pre-wedding beauty routine as well as what I will have done the week before the big day. With all thoughts focused on me I started to feel selfish and turned my thoughts to my groom. I thought about making him an appointment for a professional shave, massage and manicure (he may protest that one) to take care of his "day of" grooming.
Have any of you done the same or anything more special than what I am thinking of??
{Edit} I didn't reference where the shave was :) But, yeah Manscaping isn't the right heading...suggestions?
