    Hello Bees!

I am wearing a 40 yr old mantilla veil for my wedding and it's super long and gorgeous.  However i have no idea how to work with it to keep it in place.  Here is a picture of how I want my veil to look like.  I'm wearing my hair down like in the picture.  How do I achieve this look???  I especially like the subtle poofyness at the crown of the head.  Does anyone have some kind of how-to guide or know what kind of clips I need?  Bobby pins i just know will not stay in place since the veil is so long and my hair is so fine and soft that anythign i wear on it falls right off.

    Thank you!!

Im in the same problem, I'm wearing my mothers veil and I made it into a mantilla by adding the lace on the edges but now Im trying to figure out how to also make it look puffy on the crown of the head. I'm also wearing my hair down and want it to look like in the picture you provided. If you find a solution let me know.

    Good Luck

normally a seamstress can add a comb so that it stays put. It should not be that expensive.or you can sew a hair clip so that it lays flat.

you simply need to gather the material until you get the desired fullness then sew a comb to the underside. That should give you a more secure hold than bobby pins
