I will try and get you some pictures of mine. We made them out of cut up logs so we didn’t have to buy vases or anything to put them in. Then my dad drilled holes and we slid the branches in.  After that we put moss on the base, and glued flowers to the branches. They look AWESOME. We didn’t glue them in the bases so I could maybe sell the branches to someone else.

Here are the trees before we put flowers on them. My dad is being a goof and hiding in the background. Sorry the picture is crappy but I thought I would share since no one else has.

Check out the Nettleton Hollow blog! Some DIY instructions!

I wanted to go this route too, but instead we are just using the branches as an accent in our centerpieces..

I am using Curly Ting, you can get it from Joanns. I’m putting that in a vase and stringing a few beads down the “curl” of the twig.

We used curly willow but we didn’t take the leaves off and laced some orchids in with it.

@HappilyEverAfter54: I just happened to be in my florist’s when they got a new shipment of curly willow in and the farmer had been having some sort of family crisis and didn’t strip the leaves before he shipped them like he usually did, so they had them laying on the floor so they could start working on them. I had never seen them with the leaves before and I loved them! We were going to do manzanita, but DH and I both loved the curly willow with the leaves on it, so it became a must have.

We are also using the curly willow behind our cake table, and I was just going to let it dry out and pull the flowers off, but after seeing bakerell’as pictures, I might leave them on! crap, that makes things a bit more complicated! lol.
