Weddingbee boards

I just used a google map. Once I had the view I wanted I took a "screen shot" and then pasted it down in my invitation software. I then put written directions on the back of the card. Depending on how complicated it is to get to you location you could make a simple "stick and circle" type map as well. I started out with this but just felt it was more confusing then helpful, so I went with google. I'd be more than happy to send you want I've got if you want to see it.

I did something a little different than bonniebelle. I used a  google map for the basic template, then I traced the main roads and route on tracing paper. Drew a little hotel, a little house for my house and car for the interstate, palm tree for the beach the wedding is on, etc (yes I'm a total dork) and wrote street names on the roads. Then I scanned it into my computer and will print that from there. This way the colors all matched on my stationary. And I loved the maps that were blogged about on here (forgot by whom) and wanted to make something similar, but within my budget. Seriously, I'm a dork.

Oh babagirlshell! That's a great idea! I hadn't thought about tracing over the google map. I may have to try that and see how it comes out. Great tip.

I actually used her tutorial, but after I finished the power point file, i copied and pasted all the lines into Illustrator where I was able to do a lot more.
