I love your blog post! I am March 21st, 2010 and have already sent my save the dates. I was just so excited to have them I couldn't wait! For the few people that complained it was too early I just said it was b/c postage was going up. :)
<h3>Yay! Good for you smokipenelope! I have then all assembled addressed and all I need is to seal them and insert my spanish translations. I think I rushed on getting my save-the-dates to begin with because #1 I did not think of the language factor (I should have ordered blank cardstock and printed them myself) and #2 I forgot to add "invitation to follow". LOL I just hope people realize this isn't the actual invitation and start calling me for the time and directions! (Sorry if the post looks different, I accidentally pushed a key and I have no idea what I did LOL)</h3>

Miss Hot Sauce - Have you signed up for theknot.com? They offer a really good Check List for brides. It counts down every month and gives you specific details of everything you should be doing. My friend who is married followed it exactly and she said it was perfect so I am using it as well.
I am getting married March 13, 2010. According to my checklist i am a behind on some things but I am trying to catch up quickly.
8 months is going to fly.

@aea122 - I did sign up on Theknot.com. I do kind of use that as a guide and check things off as I can, but my situation is a little different. My venue includes a lot of the services such as officiant, flowers, DJ, wedding cake...so I don't have to look for vendors, I already have them. I do need to get with them to discuss what we want though.
I totally agree 8 months will fly by! It seems the closer it gets the faster the days go by.

In the very beginning we actually live in different states and I am moving to at the end of the month to be with him so thats when everything will start to take off.
BTW, anyone else notice how popular of a wedding date March 13 is? It seems like everywhere I go like the bridal show and David's Bridal, there tons of other brides with that same date!
Hi ladies! I am 3/13/10 too!! How exciting! Did anyone have any qualms about the number 13? I was a little nervous but its 3/13/10 is the day my parents met 40 years ago.
I am almost done with my planning since its a destination wedding so things need to be booked early.
My fiance is seriously lagging with the groomsmen attire. He refuses to wear a tux, and wants to wear a suit. The wedding is in Hawaii, so it needs to be lightweight. All the stores just have fall and winter lines out now.. Do you think that they will have spring lines out in time for the March wedding?
I am a March 13th bride as well! My parents met on the 13th all those years ago and it's my fiance's lucky number. Plus 3/13/10 looks so nice! We picked our venue, the San Diego Wild Animal Park last March so thankfully that's been set for a while.
Also our relationship is currently long distance, my fiance finishes school in December and then he'll be moving back with me. So while he was up here for the summer we got as much done as we possibly could: registries, dress, suit, website, save the dates, etc.
The big thing right now is the ceremony, we were going to have a family friend officiate but now he can't do it! Since we're not doing a religious ceremony and will be getting legally married before the actual wedding day for financial reasons we have a lot of freedom. It's a little overwhelming, honestly.
I'm another March 13th bride!! I've had the date picked out since 2006...and it turned out to work perfectly, despite the length of engagement. :)

I'm starting to freak out a little bit. I need to order my invites and assemble them and finalize my photographer! My dress has come in though and the bridesmaids dresses are picked out!
I have a dress, and am looking at venues for the reception this week. I am so excited!! My Photographer decision is almost finalized, but I still have to figure out the bridesmaids dresses....
march 13th here.... we were originally set for september 27th and our venue overbooked. It was horrible... but we are planning again and we are set for the 13th! wooooo =)

Wow, I just noticed there are at least 2 other March 13, 2010 brides! Woohoo! Do you have a wedding timeline that you are going by? I kinda of made one up which you could view here. I hope this is realistic enough!
