Have you bought a dress??? Do you have the venue? Photographer?? Everything!!
My blog is (link removed)
I used to post things on my blog for my MOH and BM to see, but I don't use it anymore...so it wouldn't be that interesting to share. lol!
I'm going dress shopping next Friday!! I'm nervous and excited at the same time, and I am trying to shed a few pounds just so I'll feel a little better about myself before I go.
I have the venues, photographer, flowers, and cake all booked. My invitations are designed. They just need to be printed and assembled. I'm sending out STD next weekend.
Right now, I'm painting numbers for the tables and working on getting ideas for the programs. I'm WAY ahead with all my planning, so it's all details now.
I keep finding more things to DIY...I really need to stop looking! LOL!
Oh wow!!! You ARE really ahead LOL!
I wont be going dress shopping until August (event though I am dying to go like right now!! LOL) because my Mom will be coming from out of town to go with me.
I have my venue, decor, and photographer. Will be working on Save the dates pretty soon to send out in July! I'am now getting quotes for music and cake!
Hey ladies!!!
Oooweee..for the wedding to be next year there's just so much to do...
I have the venue and photographer ALL booked.
Im trying to work on florist and center pieces now...trying to DIY on the center pieces..and the florist...well..I think Im going to take the silk flowers route...but...still trying to figure that out..
I was going to send out my STD in September...so...yea..not there yet on the STD
No dress or bridesmaid dresses either...oooowee....so much to do...
March brides for 2012 in the house!!!
Whoop whoop
@peacockchris: I havent done anything yet. I have a blog but havent even updated it yet... I should get on that!
We have taken engagement pictures, and I've made pomanders(some anyways). Nothing concrete yet for us. Its been really hard to plan with a long distance FH. :(
All you are giving me a panic attack... AHHHH so behind :( I cant even ign into the knot, I have 30+ over due items :( bah!
I don't have a blog. But I do have: venue, planner, caterer, photographer, DJ, lighting, chairs, and dress. I'm buying flowers wholesale and my planner is making bouquets. I'm about to start making my DIY centerpieces. We sent out our Save the Dates last week. BMs are in charge of finding their own dresses.
I am july 2010

I do have:
@Keltaena: What do you have in mind for centerpieces??? Are you going non floral or using faux flowers??
@Captain013: hahaha I think you still have plenty of time! The knot drives me crazy too, I've had overdue tasks ever since I got engaged!!
Hi there,
You might want to check out this thread, it's full of some other great blogs and maybe even some month twins. Unfortunately, we are going to have to remove the links in this thread, though, because of our self-promotion policy.
Thanks!
MARCH 2012 BRIDES IN THE HOUSE!!!!! my date is 3/24/12///9mths 24 days left and i am so excited!! got the dress...got the venue....i sent my STD out in march...i have a huge family that is spread out and i had to make sure that everyone had at least a year notice...i feel like i have a little planning block though lol!
Got dress, venue and photographer so far! That's a victory in itself!!!
Right now I am working on designing the paper stuff for the wedding. So the program, the invites, etc. We are not taking our e-pics until September, but my FI's step-mom is a photographer so she is going to take a couple snapshots of us while we are in Florida next month so we can use those for our STD's and get those out in August! So I need to start designing those as well!
Oh my GOD everyone else is sooo on top of it! Haha, we JUST decided on a venue, but haven't even booked it yet. We are meeting againa this week to do so. I do have a dress though, haha, and I contacted the photographer that we're hoping to use. Aaaaand, that's it. Yikes. What do I absolutely need to be doing right now?
@katiedee: you def need to get a task list started...book your venue as soon as possible... decided on a budget and get your STD out as soon as possible!!
My date is March 10,2012 and I have
Dress
Venue
Centerpieces
DJ
STD's are out
Currently working on favors
Seems there is soo much to do ...
What to work on next. I have venue, officiant, dress ordered, save the dates ordered. What now??
@lawgirl12: are you doing any DIY projects?? i would def get a sstarted on that. and looking at invitations.. we are about to hit the 8 mth mark!!!
@MrsStrawberry24:I thought I was going to DIY the whole thing but FI and all my friends quickly reminded me I'm in law school and have no time! I just bought the new issue of Martha Stewart Weddings the DIY issue. Maybe there'll be something in there to spark my interest. Also, I JUST got a wedding invitation for a wedding in July. Of this year. And all it says is RSVP soon.... I've narrowed down my invitation choices to about 5. I really wish my dress was here for me to prance around in!
Tomorrow is my birthday and the official 9months mark!
@lawgirl12: yes.... keep your DIY project down to a minimum!! make sure you try cista print for your invites. there is a 20% coupon off from couponsuzy.com!! happy planning!!!
We just got our guest list made LOL! That's it.
BUT with that done now we will visit venues to get that booked asap. I'm going to look at dresses wednesday with my best friend.. we aren't having an actual wedding.. very casual ceremony with immediate family and then an actual reception.
I want to lose about 50 lbs so the dress shopping is to just get ideas. If I find a GREAT deal, finding a great seamstress goes on the list;)
@lawgirl12: I would say catering (unless is included in the venue), music? Also the best cake makers and make up artists book wayy in advance, so I would try to tackle those now. Actually that IS what I am currently working on.
As an update I am now designing my STD's, they should go out early in July. i got my DJ booked and have been dress shopping (ven though I have not decided on THE dress yet)
ladies i am currently working on this!! pray for me they are harder then they look!!!

@MrsStrawberry24: Whoa those are cool!
I'm another March 2012 bride. :) I've got venue, photographer (just booked last week), and my dress. Also have some centerpiece things, but not all of it together yet, and we've picked a color and dress length for the BMs...That's about it. Lol
@MrsStrawberry24: OMG that is soooo beautiful!!! i love it! Please share how they are made!
What you will need are: balloons, glue, yarn, tray for glue, corn starch 1/2 cup of Corn starch, 1/4 cup of Warm water, clear fast drying spray paint, hanging lamp cord or fishing line (depending on your desired final product), and a lighting kit if you’re looking for a fully functional lantern. Jessica recommends using a sharpie to mark on the inflated balloon how much room you need to leave for the lighting cord. She also recommends coating the balloon with vaseline prior to wrapping the yarn coated with glue so it doesn’t stick on the balloon once it’s dry.
1. Inflate the balloon to a medium size so the shape is a little rounder.
2. If you’re looking to make a lampshade out of the string chandelier, use a sharpie to mark around the knot on the balloon.
3. Before you start working, we recommend using a tarp.Mix corn starch, glue and warm water together until it has a smooth texture.
5. Smear the vaseline all over your balloon until it is completely coated so th twine wet with glue won’t stick on the balloon after dry.
6. You can start a little assembly line with friends by one of you feeding the yarn through the glue mix and giving to another person to wrap it around the balloon.
7. Start wrapping the balloon vertically, slowly changing to wrapping. For a seamless look, tuck the ends of the twine under one of the wrapped strings.
8. Wait 24 hours until the balloon has completely dried before popping the balloon.
9. Spray the string chandeliers with clear fast drying spray paint et voila!
The first time i made them they collasped outside. i havent tried again but i think i will tonight!! just dont hang them otisde to dry...esp during thunderstorms lol
I am sealing and stamping our Save the Dates...well, the ones that have their addresses. I told the in-laws that they've got one more day and then I'm sending out what's done and the rest will just wait until I get back around to it once they give me the info.
I know that if some of their family gets them and some don't, they'll promptly receive calls, so hopefully that lights a fire under their behinds!
@NDBee: i think that was one of the hardest things was getting my inlaws to give over all the addresses we needed!! i finallly got that and got my STD sent out in march and then....lost my FI whole family guest list (it was handed to me on 7 peices of notebook paper). i finally found an awesome wedding guest list template. so im planning on getting his family guest list at his family reunion saturday
@MrsStrawberry24: Good call on the family reunion! We tracked down about 8 or 9 of the tricky ones at a wedding a few weeks ago.
FMIL writes them out on notebook paper as well, but the minute I get them they go into my table I've made on the computer (and then I email that to myself every few updates in case of a terrible computer meltdown). Believe you me, these address will only be pulled from my cold little hands once I get them! Hahah.
@NDBee: have you foudn your dress yet?? arent you passed the 8 mth mark?? imat 9mths 3 days!!!!!! seriously talked to my FI about moving our date up because i cant wait to marry this man!!!!!
@MrsStrawberry24: Uhhhh! That looks really hard!! lol It will totally be worth it when you pull it off!
@HoneyBear: you have no idea....i am not crafty at alllll!!
got my balls hanging!! lets hope they come out well in the morning! please excuse my afro....i had a rough day and it is HOT in chicago to day!!

@MrsStrawberry24: OOo! Hanging balls....sexy lol
Im sure they will turn out great :D
@MrsStrawberry24: Hahah, oooh girl I could get married tomorrow. I've got my dress (half price sale!), church, venue, photog, DJ, save the dates printed and (mostly) addressed and stamped, centerpieces are purchased, venue has the food and drink included in that price and our tasting is scheduled, I'll go in next week to finalize the order on our invitations so we can get the ball rolling on proofing, bridesmaids are picking their dresses, and I just got my email that my shoes came in :-) ...oy. I'm almost wedding-ed out!
I've even started covering the little things, like veils (my amazing MOH and an aunt both gave me theirs to use), a family friend bought me a MONSTER card box chest, and I've got all the workings for my hairpieces I *hope* to make (we'll see how that goes).
We got engaged a year ago yesterday, so I've had lots of time to knock things out. Since I'm in school, I did a LOT of the planning and deposits during that summer and this past winter. This summer is final decisions and the winter is the detail clean up before the wedding.
@NDBee: ok can you please send me some of that wedding majo and inspriation my way. lol cuz im strugglling. thank God i have a wedding planner cuz otherwise my wedding would be a messsssss!! but i have my dress....venue, photographer..std's went out in march. just sent out for a few samples for invites. we do engagment pics in august. i have 9 bridesmaids....yea i said 9 and hopefully we have dresses for them by aug. FI put a deposit down on tuxes though!! and we got a florist. hopefully my twine sphere balls work out!!!!
