Is anyone hitting kind of a slow point in their planning? Most of our major decisions have been made. We’ll still have details to do and I need to some major writing (i.e. the ceremony and day of -run of show), but those things don’t need to be done right away. Most of my vendors think I’m crazy if I ask about details this far out, anyway.
How are ya’ll dealing with the slow down? Or am I missing something I should be doing??!?

LAB: yup been in a lull for a couple of months now. I feel like things are going to start amping up soon though because i’m doing a lot of DIY and i’d rather get the bulk of it done with before the holidays. All of our vendors are booked, about to send the deposit for rehearsal dinner, finishing up finalizing accomodations, and settling on our wedding band choices. Thats the focus right now. I’ll be order our invitations soon since i’ll be adding personal touches to them, which could take some time. Luckily i have an incredible Maid/Matron of Honor who is willing to help with anything and everything lol!

My August was pretty busy and productive actually:
- Researched and booked florist
- Researched and booked photo booth company
- Attended food tasting and finalized menu
- Finalized and ordered invitations
I’m taking the rest of August off from wedding planning to enjoy one! My cousin is getting married in NJ so Fiance and I are making a vacation out of it and staying in Manhattan. T-minus 8 days until vacation!
When I get back though, I really need to sit down and decide on which DIYs I really want to tackle so I don’t lose my sanity the next 7 months:
- herb planter starter kit/ double duty escort cards (top of the list since it’s double duty)
- chalkboard framed wedding program/drink selections/menu
- rhinestone bridal belt (can’t wait to go to NYC’s garment district!)
- cake back drop- fabric streamer
Is anybody else finding they need to prioritize any DIY projects?

Oh absolutely! I basically started planning the day after I got engaged lol. So we’re hitting that drop where it doesn’t like much to do. I think it’s because we’re all engaged in the middle of the holiday season, so everybody’s attention shifts and focuses on the holidays. The fun will pick up right New Year’s because then it’ll be crunch time. I just kind of take it one detail at a time. If you’re done with the bulk of your planning already you’re amazing and I applaud you! Just live in the moment of it all is how I deal. Good luck!
