We started with April, and then realized that is the beginning of peak wedding season, so we moved it to march, which is nice, because FI and I are going to enjoy a snowboarding vacation less than a month before the wedding… It will be more springish here in Ohio for our wedding… TULIPS!!

Your winter wedding themes make me smile. I live in Texas, and my FH and I decided on March because the weather is usually so pleasant (like in the 60s), and we wanted to be married outside near the beach. It does seem so far away. We’re just about to book our venue, but really haven’t done anything else.

I’m not quite engaged yet, but my boyfriend and I know we will be in the coming months…

I am set to graduate college in December 2011 and we are wanting to wait until after I graduate before we get married.

We originally thought we would get married in January, but I’m not much of a winter theme kind of girl.

I’m wanting to do a down-home kind of country wedding. Sunshine, sweet tea, mason jars…the whole sha-bang 🙂

BM’s dresses are going to be kelly green or maybe yellow. but most people don’t look good in yellow so we’ll see.

My boyfriend wants to incorporate camoflauge somehow so I’m trying to find something that’s not totally redneck to incorporate.

:)any advice would be amazing!

I’m excited for our March 2012 wedding, and up here there will be TONS of snow left. We’re doing deep jewel tones in a peacock theme, since both FI and I love the color blue. Winter weddings are growing on me, and when I’m bumming about how cold/dark it will be, I just remind myself that we have the rest of our lives to take warm destination vacations for our anniversary 🙂

@lauraw822: I’ve seen some weddings where the men have camo vests and accents, so it’s just a touch of the camo in a bit of a hidden location, and it may go nicely with the green dresses. Just please promise me it won’t be entirely hunting theme like I wedding I served at: foot tall lit up shotgun shell centerpieces and a lit shotgun shell and floral arch…it was less “country charm” and more “right to bear arms” Tongue out Camo can be done tastefully, but the key is smallllll doses Smile

@indibee:oh no I promise! nothing that extreme! Last night my Boyfriend told me he wanted to use the tailgate of his truck as the altar. can we say REDNECK?! Needless to say I told him no. ha! I was thinking maybe wrapping the bridesmaid’s bouquets in camo ribbon, or maybe having the guys do something. idk. its going to be a really casual weddings so I don’t think they’ll be wearing vests or ties, just dress pants, a jacket and a colored button-up shirt underneath.

@lauraw822: with jackets you could do the camo pocket square, and the camo ribbon with the bouquets would be a cute little touch. You could also get creative with your bouquets/bouts and utilize cat tails and wild flowers, or even some pheasant feathers (like we’re incorporating peacock feathers, just slightly, and focusing on colors more). Aah! So love the country/rustic theme!

@HoneyBear: I know! I keep thinking about sending out our Save the Dates in March/April and it makes it seem pretty quick! Eek! *I know, a year is kind of early, but we have weird weather up here in March and there are also state athletics coming into town so we need our folks in hotels ASAP*

so we decided to for-go the jacket and the guys are wearing Cinch jeans, cowboy boots, and a button up shirt. my bridesmaids are wearing these cute little yellow dresses instead of green and will probably wear blue jean jackets and cowboy boots. We just want to keep it really simple.

These are the dresses

so I’m totally pumped. i think it will be a nice comfortable wedding 🙂

Can’t wait for our March 10, 2012 Wedding!!! A ton is picked out, but we just have to put deposits down! It was going to happen this month, but our heater’s motor broke, so our 2 deposits were instead spent on that!!! Ugh! Just my luck! Good thing my small-ish town doesn’t book up too early in advanced.

Also, I was talking with my MOH and I was talking like I had the same amount of time as I did this summer…. time sure does fly!!!! But, I cannot wait to marry my best friend!!!
